Role Description Studio Science is hiring a Salesforce Commerce Technical Lead to support complex enterprise commerce implementations. We’re looking for someone with strong Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC/Demandware) expertise who can lead technical direction and architecture conversations while still staying close enough to the code to support developers, guide code reviews, and help unblock delivery teams when needed. This is not a heads-down development role. Ideal candidates will bring a mix of: - SFCC/Demandware architecture experience - Consulting/client-facing experience - Strong integration and enterprise commerce knowledge - Interest in modern commerce trends like Storefront Next, composable commerce, and AI-assisted workflows Responsibilities: - Lead technical architecture and delivery oversight across Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC/Demandware) and broader Salesforce ecosystem implementations - Guide developers through technical design, code reviews, troubleshooting, integration strategy, and delivery execution - Support large-scale enterprise commerce implementations spanning multiple workstreams, systems, and stakeholder groups - Translate business and customer experience requirements into scalable Salesforce commerce solutions - Partner with client stakeholders in architecture discussions, roadmap planning, technical strategy conversations, and solutioning sessions - Provide technical leadership across integrations involving Salesforce, ERP systems, CMS platforms, APIs, middleware, identity providers, and related enterprise systems - Contribute to technical discovery, estimation, architecture assessments, and pre-sales conversations as needed - Support release planning, deployment strategy, engineering standards, and overall delivery quality - Stay current on modern Salesforce Commerce capabilities and ecosystem trends including Storefront Next, composable commerce, AI tooling, and evolving SFCC architecture patterns Qualifications - 5+ years of Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC/Demandware) and/or enterprise Salesforce implementation experience in consulting, agency, or complex delivery environments - Strong experience leading technical direction across enterprise commerce implementations while remaining close enough to the code to effectively guide engineering teams - Hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud architecture, integrations, SFRA, and development best practices - Experience supporting code reviews, troubleshooting delivery issues, and mentoring developers across active implementations - Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, integrations, APIs, middleware, authentication/SSO, and enterprise system design - Experience working directly with clients in consulting or agency-style environments - Familiarity with composable commerce, headless commerce, Storefront Next, and modern customer experience platforms strongly preferred - Experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), integrations, and broader Salesforce ecosystem tooling preferred - Salesforce certifications strongly preferred, especially Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Platform Developer, B2B Commerce, or Solution Architect-related certifications - Strong communication, consulting, and stakeholder management skills - Ability to thrive in an environment of continual feedback; ability to address stressful situations with poise, understanding, and tact - Ability to effectively work remotely and in a professional manner from home in a United States-based location - Availability and flexibility to work with global clients across multiple time zones and for occasional travel to client sites and Studio Science headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana - Must be authorized to work in the USA for any employer without the need for sponsorship now or anytime in the future Benefits - This organization participates in E-Verify. - No third-party recruiters, please. - Studio Science does not accept unsolicited resumes.
