Role Description We're looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to join our Product team. At Anaconda, the Product team connects ambition to execution - turning strategic priorities into shipped programs that advance our mission of making open-source AI and data science accessible to everyone. As a Senior TPM, you'll sit at the intersection of engineering operations and product strategy. You'll own multiple concurrent programs in an environment where the path isn't always defined, partnering closely with engineering leadership to build reliable delivery systems from scratch. - Drive program strategy and execution across multiple concurrent engineering initiatives, building structure and delivery plans in ambiguous environments where processes don't yet exist. - Partner with engineering leads and product managers to define program objectives, success metrics, and delivery milestones - and stay accountable for outcomes from kickoff through close. - Identify, escalate, and resolve risks and blockers proactively, including surfacing critical issues to senior leadership even when it's uncomfortable, to keep programs moving at pace. - Facilitate quarterly PI planning cycles, helping engineering teams build realistic, dependency-aware plans that reflect actual capacity and constraints. - Lead continuous improvement of program management processes, using AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT to drive automation and reduce manual overhead across planning and reporting. - Communicate program progress, risks, and impacts clearly to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, giving them the context they need for informed decisions. Qualifications - 8+ years of experience in technical program management, leading complex, multi-team programs in a technology-driven environment. - Demonstrated experience building programs from scratch in ambiguous environments where structure, process, and tooling did not previously exist. - Track record of managing 5+ concurrent strategic initiatives without a degradation in delivery quality or stakeholder communication. - Demonstrated ability to escalate risks and critical blockers to senior leadership, with documented examples of influencing outcomes through direct, timely communication. - Proficiency with Monday.com, JIRA, and Confluence for program planning, tracking, and documentation. - Deep understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies, including Agile and Scrum, with experience facilitating PI planning. - Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT to automate operational workflows, with demonstrated impact on planning, reporting, or cross-functional coordination efficiency. Requirements - Experience building and scaling technical program management practices in an open-source, AI, or data science company, where engineering velocity and community expectations intersect. - Demonstrated use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) to automate program operations - for example, reducing manual planning or reporting work by 50%+ through automation. - Experience working in a high-growth startup environment where organizational structure, priorities, and tools shift rapidly and require a TPM who seeks more work, not less. - You embody our values: "Curious by Default", "Build Together", "Own It", and "Lead with Guts and Heart", and our behaviors: Clarity, Care and Candor. - You care deeply about fostering an environment where people of all backgrounds and experiences can flourish. - Preference for candidates located in or able to work core hours aligned with EST/CST. Benefits - Flexible Vacation Policy - Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance - Short Term and Long Term Disability - Paid Parental Leave - Monthly Wellness Stipend - Employee Assistance Program and Mental Health Resources
