Role Description Reporting to the Field Services Manager/Supervisor, the Senior Field Service Technician’s primary function is the installation, repair, maintenance and management of both Sharp and Pregis Packaging Systems/Equipment, with a predominate focus on Pregis’ automation equipment. In addition to assisting with the equipment needs of their customers, it is the responsibility of Pregis Senior Field Service Technicians to effectively communicate with both external customers and internal stakeholders (Sales, Engineering, and Service) about technical and non-technical information. Essential Functions and Responsibilities - Ensures high-quality service by minimizing errors, preventing equipment damage, and reducing customer callbacks and dissatisfaction. - Performs inspections and advises customers on methods to minimize downtime and operational interruptions. - Coordinates complex equipment installations and ensures proper system functionality through customer follow-up. - Serves as technical expert on assigned products, resolving complex issues and maintaining deep knowledge of functions and applications. - Trains, mentors, and supports customers and field service staff in advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving. - Analyzes equipment performance and executes debugging and correction of operating procedures. - Supports field testing of new products, updates, and change orders, including performance analysis and reporting. - Prepares accurate and complete service documentation, reports, and required paperwork. - Manages and maintains control of parts and service tool inventory with accurate recordkeeping. Role Description As a Maritime IT Field Service Technician at Global Satcoms, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support and on-site services to maritime clients across various regions. Role Description The Field Service Engineer is responsible for assisting and performing warranty repairs, and the commissioning of SMA utility inverters in the field. The Field Service Engineer is responsible for assisting with commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and learning to analyze data, operation and maintenance activity, and utility inverter applications. We currently have 2 openings for this role in Texas. Primary Duties / Responsibilities - Assists with commissioning, troubleshoots, repairs, and analyzes SMA America's utility inverters in the field, via email, telephone, and site visits. - Develops a detailed knowledge of SMA's utility inverter products, associated SMA accessories, and third-party accessories that are sold by SMA for use with the inverters. - Required to maintain accurate inventory count of spare parts provided by SMA. - Regularly works with high voltage DC electricity, three phase power, and the relevant software and firmware of the inverters. - Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction while striving to lower the costs of field service. - Assists and/or performs and maintains maintenance activities in accordance with the SMA product maintenance manual on assigned sites with SMA customer contractual obligations. - Other duties as may be required or assigned. Qualifications - A bachelor's degree in a technical field is strongly preferred, or equivalent experience working in the renewables industry. - At least 3 years of experience in electrical, electronic, and/or network communications. - Prior experience in the renewable energy industry is strongly preferred.
