Role Description
Savant is seeking a Strategy and Operations Specialist to play a key operational role within the Chief Operating Officer function. This role helps translate strategic priorities into clear, consistent execution across the organization — creating leverage for senior leadership and helping ensure important initiatives keep moving forward.
This is not a traditional administrative role. It’s a high-judgment coordination position for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working across all levels of the organization. The right person brings precision, follow-through, sound judgment, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed to support the broader mission.
What You'll Do

Support Savant's Objectives and Key Results (OKR) Framework

Help manage the firm's OKR process from goal-setting through tracking, reporting, and review.

Facilitate planning and check-in processes across teams.

Build and maintain reporting tools and dashboards.

Support teams on OKR methodology and best practices.

Identify risks, misalignment, and stalled progress before they become larger issues.

Prepare Executive and Governance Materials

Partner in the preparation of materials for executive leadership, Operating Committee, and board meetings.

Coordinate timelines, gather content, and ensure consistency across contributors.

Synthesize information into clear, well-structured materials that tell a cohesive story.

Coordinate Strategic Priorities

Monitor enterprise-wide initiatives and track dependencies, risks, and progress.
-
Maintain visibility into key strategic priorities.
-
Support special projects and initiatives that help move the business forward.
-
Turn Data Into Insight
-
Pull and synthesize data from multiple sources.
-
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
-
Communicate findings in a way that supports informed decision-making.

Support Leadership Operations
-
Partner with senior leaders and their teams to gather updates, coordinate timelines, and drive follow-through.

Prepare agendas, capture meeting notes, and track action items.

Help ensure commitments made in leadership forums translate into action.

A few important notes about this role:

Location is flexible and travel may be required. While you may work remotely in this role, we are targeting individuals who are near our major markets such as, but not limited to: Chicago, Rockford, New York, Boston, and Atlanta.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Communications, or a related field.

2 to 4 years of experience in operations, project coordination, business support, or a related environment.

Experience supporting the preparation of executive, board, or governance materials; knows what “CEO ready” looks like.

Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without losing the details.

Comfortable working with data; can pull a report, spot a trend, and communicate what it means in plain language.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident engaging with senior leaders.
-
High attention to detail and a bias toward follow through.
-
Discreet and professional; can handle sensitive information with appropriate judgment.

A self-starter who asks good questions, figures things out, and gets things done.

A “no job too small” mindset; equally comfortable supporting a board pack and booking a conference room, and never makes others feel the difference.

Prior exposure to executive, board, or governance material preparation strongly preferred.

Experience working with data and reporting tools; able to pull, organize, and communicate findings clearly.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Preferred Qualifications

Background in financial or professional services.

Familiarity with OKR methodology; direct experience facilitating or managing an OKR process is a strong plus.

Comfort with or curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies; excited to learn and apply new ways of working as the firm evolves.
