Role Description
We are looking for a Junior Business Development Specialist to support our Growth team in daily commercial activities, client communication, outreach, and event preparation. This is a great opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who wants to grow in fintech, sales, payments, and international business development.
Your role at xpate:

Support senior colleagues across business development and sales activities, helping the team stay organised, responsive, and effective.
Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the team with booking and coordinating meetings with potential and existing clients.

Shadowing and supporting senior sales colleagues during client calls, follow-ups, and deal development activities to gain practical experience and gradually build commercial knowledge.

Assisting with client replies, follow-ups, and day-to-day communication.

Helping with LinkedIn outreach, including preparing messages, tracking responses, and supporting lead generation activities.

Maintaining and updating client and prospect information in internal tools and trackers.

Supporting senior colleagues with preparation for client calls, meetings, and follow-ups.

Helping prepare materials, lists, and logistics for industry events, conferences, and networking activities.

Assisting with research on potential clients, markets, industries, and business opportunities.

Coordinating internal communication between Growth, Marketing, Product, and other teams when needed.

Supporting ad-hoc commercial and administrative tasks related to business development.
Qualifications

Interest in fintech, payments, B2B sales, and international business.

Strong communication skills and ability to write clear, professional messages.

Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Confidence using LinkedIn and willingness to learn outreach tools and CRM systems.

Ability to support several tasks at the same time and follow up consistently.

Proactive attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn from senior colleagues.

Good English skills, both written and spoken.
