Role Description We're hiring experienced full-stack engineers to build AI-native products across our ApartmentIQ and MavenAI pods. These are high-ownership roles: you'll take features from data layer to API to interface, working closely with an experienced lead or AI engineer rather than inheriting a fully-specced ticket. If you like owning ambiguous problems end-to-end—and you're excited about building product on top of LLMs and agents, not only using them to code faster—this is for you. Responsibilities - Own features end-to-end—data model, Rails API, and front end—in a fast-paced, agile environment. - Build product surfaces on top of LLMs and agents: ingestion, structured data, and UIs for reviewing and verifying AI-generated output. - Partner with a team lead or AI Engineer to take greenfield problems from ambiguous idea to shipped feature. - Engage with product leadership on what to prioritize and how to scope it. Qualifications - 6+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer. - Strong Ruby on Rails experience, including designing and building APIs. - Proficiency with JavaScript / ES6 and a modern front-end framework (React preferred). - Comfort working across the full stack, including relational databases (MySQL). - Experience building products utilizing agentic workflows: prompting, handling non-deterministic output, and designing for human-in-the-loop review. - Solid understanding of fundamental web technologies such as HTTP, REST, and JSON. - Ability to break down complex, ambiguous problems into digestible, shippable chunks. - Thrive in fast-paced startup environments and adapt quickly to changing priorities. Bonus Skills & Experience - Data pipeline / ingestion and processing work—pulling in raw apartment rental data from XML files or APIs and transforming it into compelling content that helps renters choose their next home. - Experience with agentic frameworks, RAG, or LLM tool-use. - React ecosystem depth (Redux and similar) and strong product/UX taste. - Experience working with designers and AI engineers to build beautiful, intuitive front-end experiences. - Taste in modern trends of front-end development and a desire to build simple, user-focused UX. Benefits - Remote-First: Freedom to work from home across most of the U.S. with high-energy in-person offsites. - Competitive Compensation: Competitive salary that reflects your impact and expertise. - Paid Time Off: Flexible vacation policy and dedicated paid parental leave. - Total Wellness Coverage: Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance plans. - Peace of Mind (On Us): 100% company-paid Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, and Basic Life Insurance. - Protection for Your Whole Crew: Access supplemental insurance and specialized coverage for pets. - Invest in Your Future: 401k Program to help you build for the long term.
