Role Description The Supply Chain Business Analyst serves as the primary analytics partner for Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, and Warehousing operations within a fast-growing consumer products organization. This role sits at the intersection of business operations and technology, translating complex operational requirements into scalable data and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will remain hands-on with Power BI, SQL, and cloud platforms while utilizing AI tools to accelerate business decision-making. This is a 3 to 6-month contract position. Key Responsibilities - Supply Chain Analytics & Business Intelligence - Design, develop, and maintain robust Power BI dashboards supporting Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Procurement, S&OP, Logistics, and Warehousing. - Develop standardized executive reports and KPI dashboards tracking critical operational metrics such as Forecast Accuracy, OTIF (On-Time In-Full), Inventory Turns, Fill Rate, PPV, and Carrier performance. - Business Analysis & Data Engineering Collaboration - Gather, document, and translate business requirements from Supply Chain stakeholders into Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, user stories, and UAT test plans. - Act as the primary liaison between Operations and IT/Data Engineering teams to define source-to-target mappings, data transformation logic, and ETL/ELT requirements. - Perform SQL-based data analysis and assist in designing dimensional models supporting Azure-based enterprise analytics. - Data Quality, Governance, & AI-Enabled Analytics - Monitor and validate data quality across ERP, planning, and operational systems, identifying anomalies and establishing automated exception reporting. - Maintain comprehensive data dictionaries, business glossaries, and metadata documentation to support enterprise data governance. - Leverage generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Microsoft Copilot to optimize analytical workflows, compile report narratives, and draft operational documentation. Qualifications - 3 or more years of experience as a Business Analyst, Supply Chain Analyst, or Data Analyst. - 3 or more years of experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), FMCG, or consumer products environment. - Demonstrated experience supporting multiple supply chain functions, including demand/supply planning, procurement, logistics, or warehousing. - Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Power BI, including Power Query (M), DAX, semantic modeling, and dashboard development. - Hands-on experience working with one or more Microsoft Azure data platforms (such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, or Microsoft Fabric). - Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, joins, aggregations, and dimensional modeling. - Active working knowledge of prompt engineering and utilizing at least one enterprise LLM tool (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, or Microsoft Copilot) within professional analytical workflows. - Strong skills in Microsoft 365, with advanced Excel proficiency (Power Query, Pivot Tables, formulas). - Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Business, Information Systems, or a related field. • Build and maintain dashboards and performance metrics in tools such as Looker and Sheets/Excel. • Perform analyses of campaign results and A/B tests, translating data into actionable recommendations. • Analyze customer profiles, usage behavior and product engagement journeys. • Formulate quantitative and qualitative hypotheses about gaps and opportunities in conversion and retention funnels. • Monitor business KPIs (revenue, TPV (Total Payment Volume), churn, product adoption) and generate alerts for deviations. • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders (Product, Marketing, Legal, Pricing, etc.) in the execution and evaluation of initiatives. • Contribute to the economic and operational evaluation of engagement initiatives, including estimates of ROI and payback. • Ensure consistency and reliability of the data sources and dashboards used by the team.
• Map current-state workflows end-to-end across IT, Support, Finance, HR, and Engineering including the exceptions and edge cases that live in operators' heads, not in the documentation. • Conduct working sessions with process owners and frontline staff to capture tribal knowledge and convert it into rules, decision logic, and instructions that automation or agents can follow. • Gather requirements and write clear specifications that include success metrics, failure modes, and the exact human-in-the-loop checkpoints required for safe rollout. • Apply a triage methodology to every candidate workflow deterministic automation, agent-handled judgment, or humans-only and document the rationale so triage decisions are auditable. • Establish and maintain the baseline measurement behind ECI's AI workflow commitments so progress is reported on real numbers, not estimates. • Build the candidate-workflow portfolio against ECI's evaluation criteria: frequency, repeatability of decisions, context spread across systems, and measurable pain. • Implement automations directly in Salesforce Flow, low-code and no-code platforms (Power Automate, Zapier-class tools, internal Abacus capabilities), and emerging agentic AI tooling. • Write light scripting (Python, JavaScript, SQL) and integrate across SaaS systems via REST APIs and webhooks where no-code tooling does not reach. • Configure agent guardrails, evaluation prompts, and feedback loops; design for graceful failure when the agent is uncertain rather than for confident wrong answers. • Partner with Platform Engineering and Application teams to ship integrations safely on top of existing systems (Salesforce, Vonage, Workday, JSM) without forcing migrations. • Build the instrumentation that proves an automation is working logging, dashboards, and drift detection so shadow-mode and production performance can be compared on the same axes. • Maintain a clean, documented build inventory so any automation can be handed off, audited, or rolled back without tribal knowledge becoming the dependency we just removed somewhere else. • Run each workflow through a phased delivery model: sandbox build shadow mode (agent observes, humans decide) supervised production (agent acts, humans review) steady state. • Enforce human-in-the-loop discipline at every phase boundary; no automation moves to the next stage without measured evidence and an owner sign-off. • Own the regular progress reporting on AI workflow delivery, including which workflows shipped, the measured impact of each, and a credible forecast for the next quarter. • Coordinate with other technical resources when an AI workflow intersects an active Initiative M&A integration playbooks, platform consolidations, compliance projects.
