Babylist eases the path to parenthood, offering helpful content, a curated store, and a universal online baby registry through which new parents can discover, request, and buy prod
Who We Are Babylist is the leading platform for expecting and new families. More than 10 million people shop with Babylist every year, making it the go-to destination for seamless purchasing, guidance, and expert recommendations. As a modern, AI-forward tech company, Babylist has expanded from a universal registry into a full ecosystem — the Babylist Shop, Babylist Health, Babylist Money, NYC and LA showrooms, branded content, and more — generating $750M in revenue in 2025. Building the generational brand in baby, Babylist is reshaping the $235B kids and baby market and helping parents feel confident, connected, and cared for at every step. Our Ways of Working Babylist is remote-first with team members across the U.S. and Canada who move fast, think smart, and use AI as part of how they work every day — not as an experiment, as an expectation. We come together twice a year to build the relationships behind the work, and we hire people who are genuinely excited about what's possible and prove it through how they show up. What the Role Is Babylist's merchandising business is one of the highest-leverage, most complex parts of the company — and it's never had a dedicated technology partner. The Merchandising Operations team manages the product data, vendor relationships, and owned brands manufacturing workflows that power Babylist's shop, and they've been doing it largely on manual processes and Google Sheets that have hit their limits. As a Senior Technical Product Manager for Merchandising Operations, you will be the first dedicated technical partner for this team — identifying, designing, and deploying the technology solutions that will help scale Babylist from a $750M to a $2B business over the next three years. This role will report to the Director of Technical Product, and will play a central role in defining and executing an ambitious technology transformation for Babylist's merchandising and owned brands operations. Who You Are - You're an experienced Product Manager, with 5+ years of experience in an agile development environment - You have experience building internal tools or operational technology — you understand that technology must interact with complex human processes, not just optimize for ideal-state inputs - You are a builder: you've independently prototyped, shipped, or deployed solutions — whether professionally or personally — and you get excited about identifying a problem and finding a way to solve it yourself - You have worked in highly cross-functional roles, managing the needs of various technical and non-technical stakeholders when executing projects - You have experience with systems integration, data flow, APIs, and automation of manual processes, and you can discuss system architecture with technical counterparts - You are able to work with ambiguity and define executable projects from initially unclear priorities — particularly in greenfield or under-invested areas - You are highly analytical, leveraging data and process improvement techniques to objectively define priorities and action items - You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and can express ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences - You're genuinely excited about what AI can do - not just as a concept, but as something you want to get your hands on. At Babylist, every team uses AI daily, and we're looking for people who lean in. How You Will Make An Impact - Drive the full product lifecycle for your roadmap — discovery, definition and validation, development, launch, and iteration — across the Merchandising and Owned Brands teams - Lead the evaluation and build/buy decision for a Product Information Management (PIM) system to centralize product data, descriptions, images, and specs across channels - Partner with the Owned Brands team to design and deploy technology solutions that replace manual, Google Sheets-based manufacturing and production workflows - Identify greenfield opportunities by embedding with the Merchandising and Owned Brands teams, building trusted relationships with key stakeholders to deeply understand their processes and pain points - Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to prioritize requests across many stakeholders, including Merchandising Operations, Owned Brands, and Data - Define meaningful metrics for your space, work with data and engineering teams to surface them, and communicate their impact to the rest of the organization - Build solutions that account for the realities of working with external vendors who cannot be mandated to standardize their processes — designing for the world as it is, not the world as you'd like it to be - Use AI tools to accelerate discovery, prototyping, and delivery wherever possible Why This Role - Greenfield opportunity — be the first technical partner to a nearly billion-dollar business unit that has never had dedicated tech support; the scope is yours to define - Builder's playground — this role is explicitly looking for someone who wants to build, not just manage; you'll have room to prototype, experiment, and ship - AI opportunity — get hands-on experience applying AI tools to real operational problems at a company actively investing in this space - Direct business impact — your work will directly enable Babylist's growth trajectory; the merchandising team's success is tied to yours - Executive visibility — direct exposure to senior leadership and a high-visibility mandate About Compensation We use a market-based approach to compensation. The starting salary range for this role is: US: $204,014 to $224,850 Canada $182,500 to $192,000 CAD Your starting salary will be based on your location, experience, and qualifications, with increases over time tied to performance, role growth, and internal pay equity. Why You Will Love Working At Babylist Our Culture - We work with focus and intention, then step away to recharge - We believe in exceptional management and invest in tools and opportunities to connect with colleagues - We build products that positively impact millions of people's lives - AI is intentionally embedded in how we work, create, and scale—supporting innovation and impact Growth & Development - Competitive pay and meaningful opportunities for career advancement - We believe technology and data can solve hard problems - We're committed to career progression and performance-based advancement Compensation & Benefits - Competitive salary with equity and bonus opportunities - Company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance - Retirement savings plan with company matching and flexible spending accounts - Generous paid parental leave and PTO - Remote work stipend to set up your office - Perks for physical, mental, and emotional health, parenting, childcare, and financial planning Important NoticesRecorded Interviews. Rula is a remote-first company. We currently hire in most U.S. states, with the exception of Hawaii. About the Role We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join Rula’s Patient Matching team. This team is focused on driving meaningful impact across the patient funnel. Our goal isn’t to help patients find any provider, but to help them find the right provider: someone they trust, feel comfortable with, and want to continue care with. In practice, that means building and evolving the systems behind provider search, ranking, availability, eligibility, and booking experiences. As a Staff Engineer, you’ll play a central role in shaping this direction by bringing order to ambiguity, designing durable systems, and delivering software that directly impacts how patients experience care. You’ll partner with your Engineering Manager, working closely with product managers, designers, clinicians, and other engineers to align technical decisions with patient and business outcomes. Beyond your own contributions, you’ll amplify the effectiveness of the team by mentoring engineers, unblocking peers, and raising the technical bar across Rula. We’re looking for product-minded engineers who see problems, move quickly, and help the team build the right solution quickly. We expect engineers on this team to leverage AI-assisted development tools, including Claude Code, as a natural part of their workflow, not as a novelty. You’re fluent with these tools and are keeping up with the developing landscape, forming opinions on where they add value and how to get the best out of them to improve velocity and decrease time-to-value. Required Qualifications - 8+ years of experience building and maintaining scalable, production-ready systems with measurable business impact. - Strong expertise in API design, data modeling, and building systems that are reliable, maintainable, and performant. - Advanced System Architecture Experience: Proven experience designing and evolving architectures with the ability to weigh tradeoffs and choose a suitable approach for the problem at hand. - Technical Leadership: Proven ability to lead complex technical projects across teams, shaping scope, estimates, and execution while aligning technical decisions with business goals. - Communication & Alignment: Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to build consensus, surface risks early, and bring clarity to ambiguous problem spaces. - Team Multiplier: Experience mentoring engineering teams, reviewing architectures, and raising the technical bar across organizations. - AI-Assisted Development: Fluent with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code) and able to articulate both where they accelerate delivery and where they introduce risk or require human judgment. Preferred Qualifications While having the preferred qualifications enhances your candidacy, having all of them is not mandatory. We encourage all interested applicants to apply, even those who may not meet every preferred requirement. - Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. - Data-Intensive Systems: Experience with data-heavy ecosystems, including designing data pipelines, integrating data sources, or building systems that capture and analyze metrics. - Modern Tooling: Familiarity with modern infrastructure and tooling. - Production Reliability: Comfortable participating in on-call rotations, troubleshooting complex production issues, and advocating for reliability improvements. - Startup Agility: Prior experience in early-stage and/or high-growth startup environments and comfortable navigating ambiguity while influencing evolving roadmaps We're serious about your well-being! As part of our team, full-time employees receive: - 100% remote work environment: Working hours to support a healthy work-life balance, ensuring you can meet both professional and personal commitments (must be based in United States, currently not hiring in Hawaii) - Attractive pay and benefits: Full transparency of pay ranges regardless of where you live in the United States - Comprehensive health benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and FSA/HSA - 401(k) plan access: Start saving for your future - Generous time-off policies: Including 2 company-wide shutdown weeks each year for self-care (for most employees) - Paid parental leave: Available for all parents, including birthing, non-birthing, adopting, and fostering - Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Support for your mental and physical health - New hire home office stipend: Set up your workspace for success - Quarterly department stipend: Fun team-building activities or in-person gatherings - Wellness events and lunch & learns: Explore a variety of engaging topics - Community and employee resource groups: Participate in groups that celebrate employee identity and lived experiences, fostering a sense of community and belonging for all Our team We believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion are fundamental to our mission of making mental healthcare work for everyone. We are dedicated to having a culture of inclusion that will support our employees in feeling safe, seen, heard, and valued.

Role Description Aperture OS is an internal tool we've built to give us an operational edge. It helps us track performance, manage creative workflows, and surface insights across our client portfolio in ways that off-the-shelf tools don't. Now we want to scale it. We're looking for someone to own it. Not manage it. Own it. You will be the primary engineer and technical decision-maker for Aperture OS. You'll define what it becomes, how it's built, and how it serves the team. You'll work directly with the founder and client teams to understand what's needed and build it — properly. This is a serious ownership opportunity at a fast-moving company that knows what it wants and gives its people room to deliver it. What you'll own - The full Aperture OS codebase — architecture, quality, and evolution. - Feature development end-to-end: scoping, building, shipping, iterating. - API integrations — pulling data from ad platforms, creative tools, and internal systems. - AI and LLM integrations — we use AI heavily in our creative and analysis workflows. - Database design and data modelling as the product grows. - Infrastructure, hosting, and deployment — keeping things running reliably. - Security, access control, and compliance for a multi-client environment. Qualifications - Proven track record shipping with AI-first development tools: Lovable, Cursor, or similar. - Experience owning a full codebase, not just contributing to one. - Strong command of TypeScript and React on the frontend; and serverless/edge functions for backend logic. - Good working knowledge of Supabase for authentication and database (Postgres). - Experience integrating third-party APIs, especially AI and LLM APIs. - Solid working knowledge of DNS, domain management, SSL/TLS, and hosting configuration. - Experience scaling systems in a multi-tenant SaaS environment, with asynchronous processing such as worker fleets, pub/sub, queues and streams. - A sensible approach to testing: you know what needs a test and what doesn't. - You think about security and data compliance as you build, not as an afterthought. - Strong product instincts: you know the difference between something that works and something that is right. - Ability to set priorities and make tradeoffs without constant direction. - Familiarity with performance marketing, ad creative testing, or growth tooling. Requirements - Comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in environments where the spec isn't always written in advance. - Ability to move quickly when speed is needed and slow down when precision matters. - Care about the product you're building, not just the code. - Experience in a startup or early-stage environment. - Use AI tools in your daily workflow — not as a crutch, but as a force multiplier. - Genuine curiosity about performance marketing, growth, or adtech. - Feel ownership when something breaks at 2am. Benefits - Work from anywhere, with flexibility around how you structure your day. - Regular team meetups and events. - Travel to team meetups covered. - Direct exposure to a fast-growing business and its founder. - Real ownership of a product people use every day. - A high-trust role with responsibility from day one.
