The Legal Specialist plays a critical support function to the Legal Department by supporting In-House Counsel in the maintenance of accurate records, tracking contract lifecycles, and ensuring the company's adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Duties/Responsibilities: - Contract Management: - Assist in the drafting (from templates) and management of contracts. - Maintain accurate records of contracts and related documents. - Track contract deadlines and ensure timely renewals. - Document Management and Administration: - Maintain organized and accurate legal and compliance files and databases. - Assist with the preparation and filing of legal documents. - Pull risk and data reports from contract management system. - Provide administrative support to the Legal team. - Compliance Monitoring and Reporting: - Assist in monitoring and tracking changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. - Prepare and maintain compliance reports and documentation. - Assist in the implementation and monitoring of compliance programs. - Legal Research and Analysis: - Conduct legal research on various topics related to the company's operations. - Analyze legal documents and provide summaries and recommendations for in-house counsel review. - Assist in-house counsel in the preparation of legal memoranda and other written materials. - Policy and Procedure Development: - Assist in-house counsel in the development, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of company policies and procedures. - Communicate policy changes and updates to relevant stakeholders. - Perform other duties as assigned.
