• Prepare, review, and submit accurate invoices under tight monthly deadlines with detailed billing and compliance requirements • Enter and maintain billing terms, contract amendments, and subconsultant invoices in Deltek Vantagepoint • Work closely with Project Managers of varying experience levels to review draft invoices, supporting documentation, and backup reports • Identify and resolve billing issues independently ensuring accuracy and compliance • Submit invoices through client portals and billing systems, track approvals and rejections, and manage revisions as needed • Coordinate with subconsultants to review invoices for contractual compliance, accuracy, and client-specific requirements • Perform accounts receivable review and assist with collection efforts in coordination with project teams • Open, maintain, and close projects in Deltek Vantagepoint in alignment with contract terms and internal controls
Job Requirements
- Prior experience in project accounting or project billing within a consulting, engineering, or professional services environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of invoices while balancing varying levels of complexity
- Experience working with municipal or public sector clients and their billing requirements
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines independently
- Clear and professional communication skills and comfort working directly with Project Managers
- High attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership over work product
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PDF tools, and Windows-based applications
- Experience with Deltek Vision or Deltek Vantagepoint is strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
