Role Description
We’re hiring a Senior Financial Accountant to own the accuracy, structure, and day-to-day reliability of our financial operations. This role sits at the heart of our finance engine. You’ll keep the books clean, reporting tight, and controls strong, while working closely with the CFO to support scale, audits, compliance, and better financial decision-making.
If you like order, accountability, and knowing the numbers are right (not “mostly right”), this role will feel very familiar, and very important.
What You’ll Be Owning
-
Financial Reporting & Close (Hands-On)
-
Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple entities, accurate, complete, and on time.
-
Prepare and review entity-level and consolidated financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
-
Ensure consistency and correctness across intercompany accounts, eliminations, and reconciliations.
-
Maintain strong close discipline as transaction volumes and business lines increase.
-
B2B Accounting & Operational Finance
-
Own accounting for B2B products, contracts, and settlements, from revenue recognition to reconciliation.
-
Ensure accurate tracking of client balances, fees, commissions, and partner-related transactions.
-
Partner closely with Commercial, Ops, and Treasury to ensure financial data reflects reality on the ground.
-
Translate complex B2B flows into clean, auditable accounting entries.
-
Accounting Operations & Controls
-
Maintain tight internal controls across AP, AR, payroll, treasury, and interbusiness movements.
-
Ensure proper accounting treatment for crypto-related transactions (valuation, custody, fees, taxes).
-
Continuously improve accounting processes to reduce manual work as volumes grow.
-
Keep documentation current, practical, and audit-ready.
-
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
-
Support budgeting and forecasting with reliable, entity-level financial data.
-
Track variances and provide clear, business-relevant explanations.
-
Support the CFO with ad-hoc analysis tied to growth, pricing, and B2B performance.
-
Compliance & Risk
-
Support audits, tax filings, and statutory reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
-
Stay current on accounting, fintech, and crypto regulatory requirements.
-
Flag financial risks early, especially those that scale with volume and complexity.
Biggest Challenges You’ll Tackle
-
Managing high transaction volumes across multiple entities without losing accuracy.
-
Keeping B2B accounting clean as products, clients, and settlement flows increase.
-
Ensuring intercompany balances and eliminations stay tight as the org scales.
-
Accounting correctly for crypto and fiat movements in a fast-moving B2B environment.
-
Building structure and repeatability where things previously relied on manual work or tribal knowledge.
-
Balancing speed, precision, and audit-readiness, every month, not just year-end.
Qualifications
-
8 - 12 years of experience in financial accounting, ideally in fintech, crypto, or tech.
-
Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
-
Strong experience with financial reporting, audits, and close cycles.
-
Solid understanding of IFRS (or US GAAP).
-
Comfortable with treasury, tax, and multi-entity setups.
-
High attention to detail, you notice what others miss.
-
Calm, dependable, and able to own your lane without micromanagement.
Nice to Have
-
Experience accounting for crypto assets or exchanges.
-
Familiarity with tools like QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar.
-
Exposure to multi-jurisdiction tax or regulatory environments.
Reporting Line
You’ll report directly to the CFO and work closely with the broader Finance, Treasury and Leadership teams to keep Quidax financially sound as we scale.
Benefits
