Field Service Engineer
Shape Technologies Group
• Provides expert-level technical support for Flow’s water-cutting and surface preparation systems • Delivers on-site and remote technical support for the operation, diagnosis, and repair of Flow systems • Assists customers in troubleshooting, part identification, and resolution of technical issues via phone, email, or site visits • Accurately completes all required administrative documentation and service reports in a timely manner • Adheres to Flow’s Return Material Authorization (RMA) policy and documents all customer-reported system issues • Travel to customer sites for extended durations as needed • Participates in on-call rotations as assigned
Job Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 2 years of field service experience working with robotics, motion control systems, CNC machinery, or similar capital equipment
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Proficient in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, electrical, and electronic systems
- Experience with microprocessor control systems is strongly preferred
- CNC programming experience is a plus
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Outlook, Teams, and service-related tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn Flow's products, systems, and procedures quickly
