WHY WE’RE LOOKING FOR YOU: We’re looking for a Manager of Sales Variable Compensation to bring structure, accuracy, and scalability to how we run incentives across our GTM organization. This role sits on a lean, high-impact Revenue Operations team where getting the fundamentals right really matters — and where strong operators can quickly expand their scope. You’ll start by owning and optimizing commission operations end-to-end, ensuring our sales team is paid accurately and on time, every time. From there, you’ll grow into a key partner in shaping compensation strategy — helping design plans that drive the right behaviors and scale with the business. WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH: You’ll partner closely with Sales Leadership, Finance, Accounting, and GTM teams. This role is highly cross-functional and visible, requiring tight alignment across stakeholders to ensure compensation processes run smoothly and support broader GTM priorities. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Operations & Administration (Primary Focus to Start) - Own end-to-end commission operations, including monthly and quarterly calculations, validations, reconciliations, accruals, audits, and payouts — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. - Manage and resolve commission inquiries and disputes, serving as the escalation point for complex or sensitive issues. - Administer and optimize Xactly including plan configuration, calculation logic, quota uploads, reporting, and UAT. - Partner cross-functionally to ensure data accuracy and consistency across Salesforce, compensation tools, and reporting workflows. - Maintain and improve documentation, SOPs, participant agreements, and compensation calculators. Plan Design & Strategy (Expanded Scope Over Time) - Support the design and rollout of compensation plans, including quotas, territories, crediting rules, accelerators, SPIFFs, and MBOs. - Partner with Sales Leadership and Finance to align plans with GTM strategy and business goals. - Benchmark programs and support modeling of compensation scenarios to inform planning and decision-making. - Contribute to presentations and insights shared with GTM and Finance stakeholders. Analytics & Reporting - Build and maintain reports and dashboards to track quota attainment, payouts, and performance trends. - Identify discrepancies, payout anomalies, and opportunities to improve plan clarity or reduce manual effort. - Provide reliable, data-driven insights to support ongoing optimization of compensation programs and processes. THE SKILLSET YOU’LL BRING: - Hands-on experience managing sales compensation operations in an ICM tool (Xactly strongly preferred, or similar platform). - Experience in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Strategic Finance, or GTM Strategy & Operations preferred but not required - Strong working knowledge of Salesforce and how it feeds into compensation processes. - Proven ability to run accurate, timely commission cycles with strong attention to detail. - Solid analytical skills and comfort working with large, complex datasets. - Experience partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Accounting, and GTM teams. - Ability to thrive in a lean, high-impact environment where you can own processes end-to-end. - Clear, effective communication skills — especially when navigating sensitive compensation topics.

Company Description QAD is building a world-class SaaS company, providing enterprise software solutions globally. We are a virtual-first company, enabling our team to work primarily from home, while fostering a collaborative culture focused on growth, innovation, and well-being. We value diversity and strive for an inclusive environment where everyone feels empowered to contribute to our success. Job Description We have a strategic opening for Senior Sales Executive at a pivotal moment for QAD. Right now is the ideal time for an ambitious sales professional to come on board and make a significant impact. You will own the commercial relationship and be responsible for driving end-to-end deal progression, from prospecting to closure, for both existing active customers and net new customers. You will play a critical role in expanding our presence within key accounts and acquiring new logos, contributing directly to our revenue growth. Why This Role Stands Out - Compensation designed to reward performance. Base: $135K–$150K. OTE: $270K–$300K. Uncapped upside for top performers. - Your patch is yours. You drive the strategy, own the relationships, and lead the deals — with dedicated SE, CSM, and Services PM support behind you. - Sell a product that solves real problems for manufacturers who have outgrown legacy ERP systems. The value story sells itself. - Work from anywhere. QAD is virtual-first — built for top performers who manage their time, not their commute. Key Responsibilities: - Own end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting to closure for QAD’s ERP software solutions and other offerings-prospecting, discovery, business case development, negotiation, and close. - Drive initial client engagement independently, leading first prospect meetings, uncovering pain points, and establishing business cases. - Target and pursue net new customers and new leads within existing active customers to expand market share. - Qualify opportunities based on commercial fit upfront (e.g., ICP). - Request resources after commercial qualifications, following standardized processes (e.g., fill out templated SE request form to be approved by SSEM / deal team). - Develop and maintain account plan for Tiered accounts, including strategic objectives, pipeline / whitespace analysis, persona mapping, action plan, etc. - Collaborate with CSM on account strategy through a regular cadence of touchpoints (e.g., monthly joint account planning for Tier 1 accounts). - Own commercial engagement for complex renewals (e.g., multi-year, multi-region, strategic at-risk accounts). - Manage and foster relationships with executive sponsors and key stakeholders. - Maintain pipeline health, forecasting accuracy, and deal hygiene in CRM. - Actively capture sales success stories (e.g., wins, competitive takeouts, migration deals) and provide input into pitches and business value narratives to marketing/enablement. - Own internal cadence and governance of "pod" structure (e.g., with CSM, SSEM, Services PM), ensuring timely and consistent handoffs across the customer journey. Qualifications - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a proven sales performer in the ERP or broader software solutions industry. - 3+ years of enterprise-class direct license/subscription sales, with a minimum of 3 years of field-level enterprise software sales. - Minimum of 3 years of successful experience as a direct contributor carrying an individual quota. - Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed quarterly and annual quota assignments. - Strong understanding of manufacturing business processes and the ERP competitive landscape. - Strong communication skills: writing, editing, and presenting are a must-have. - Ability to sell a solution based on value and business outcomes, not solely on product features. - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred. - Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed for global opportunities Additional Information Compensation Package: - Our range for this position is $135K - 150K USD annually and a match in commission – $270K - $300K OTE. - Placement within our pay range will vary based on knowledge, skills, experience, and market location variations as well as internal peer equity - This position is also eligible for commission - U.S. benefits package includes medical, dental and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, paid-time off, parental leave, and well-being programs About QAD: QAD | Redzone is redefining manufacturing and supply chains through its intelligent, adaptive platform that connects people, processes, and data into a single System of Action. With three core pillars — Redzone (frontline empowerment), Adaptive Applications (the intelligent backbone), and Champion AI (Agentic AI for manufacturing) — QAD | Redzone helps manufacturers operate with Champion Pace, achieving measurable productivity, resilience, and growth in just 90 days. QAD is committed to ensuring that every employee feels they work in an environment that values their contributions, respects their unique perspectives and provides opportunities for growth regardless of background.
