Trainee QA Engineer (Internship)

The Trainee QA Engineer, reporting to the QA Manager, plays a key role in supporting quality assurance efforts across Zaelab’s client projects. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in software testing, with a focus on building foundational QA skills while contributing to real project delivery. You will work closely with experienced QA professionals and a dedicated mentor to learn testing methodologies, execute test cases, and support the delivery of high-quality digital solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience on enterprise projects and transition into a full-time QA role. Key Responsibilities: Learning & Development: - Participate in structured onboarding and guided learning under mentorship - Develop a strong understanding of QA fundamentals, tools, and best practices - Apply theoretical knowledge to real-world testing scenarios Project Support & Delivery: - Support QA activities on active client projects - Assist in executing test cases and validating system functionality - Participate in regression testing and validation of bug fixes and enhancements - Contribute to feature and functionality testing based on user stories and requirements Test Design & Execution: - Assist in creating and maintaining test cases and test documentation - Execute manual testing scenarios with attention to detail - Identify, document, and report defects clearly and accurately Collaboration & Communication: - Work closely with mentor and QA team on a daily basis - Participate in team discussions, stand-ups, and feedback sessions - Communicate progress, blockers, and learnings effectively Requirements: - Completed QA/testing courses (e.g. Udemy, Coursera, or similar) - Basic understanding of QA concepts such as: - Test cases - Regression testing - Functional vs non-functional testing - Defects/bug tracking - Ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios - Strong motivation to learn and grow in QA - Good communication skills and ability to work in a team - Currently in final year of university or recently graduated Nice to Haves: - Intermediate or higher English proficiency - Exposure to API testing concepts - Exposure to performance testing concepts - Any hands-on QA practice (projects, labs, or coursework) What You’ll Gain: - Hands-on experience working on a real enterprise client project - Direct mentorship from experienced QA professionals - Exposure to modern QA practices and tools - Opportunity to transition into a full-time/junior QA role based on performance - Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative consulting environment Benefits Why you’ll love working here: - Fully remote and distributed teams - Ongoing training and education opportunities - 0% Bureaucracy Culture - Focus is on responsibilities, not title Like what you see but don’t meet every requirement?
