Salesforce Developer ***As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen AND an active VA Public Trust CLEARANCE or the ability to obtain this clearance *** The Salesforce Developer – VA LGY VALERI will support the design, build, and maintenance of Salesforce features for the VA Loan Guaranty Service (LGY) VA Loan Electronic Reporting Interface (VALERI) product. VALERI is VA’s enterprise system used to manage and oversee the full lifecycle of VA-guaranteed home loans after origination, with a strong focus on loan servicing, default management, loss mitigation, and foreclosure oversight. It serves VA Loan Guaranty Service staff and VA-approved loan services, enabling compliance reporting, case management, financial tracking, and decision support to help VA protect Veterans, minimize losses, and ensure program integrity. This role will be hands-on with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWCs), and integrations, while collaborating with administrators, consultants, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions. This role supports both ongoing sustainment and incremental enhancements to an existing enterprise Salesforce implementation, requiring strong judgment, code quality, and the ability to work within established architectural and compliance constraints. Compensation & Benefits: Estimated Starting Salary Range for Salesforce Developer: $100-130K Pay commensurate with experience. Salesforce Developer Responsibilities Include: - Develop custom Salesforce applications, components, and integrations using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and API services. - Collaborate with consultants and stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. - Implement complex business logic, workflows, triggers, and automation. - Build and maintain secure, scalable integrations with external systems. - Ensure solutions adhere to Salesforce best practices and federal security and compliance standards. - Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and release management. - Maintain documentation, technical designs, and deployment procedures. - Provide technical support and troubleshooting for deployed solutions. Salesforce Developer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: - Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust Clearance. - Salesforce Platform Developer I and Salesforce Administrator (or ability to obtain within 90 days). - Bachelor’s degree + 5 years of Salesforce or relevant software development experience, OR Associate’s degree + 7 years of Salesforce or relevant software development experience, OR High School Diploma/GED + 9 years of Salesforce or relevant software development experience. - Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and its capabilities, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, SOQL, SOSL and REST APIs. - Experience interacting with REST and SOAP services using XML and JSOM - Strong knowledge of the Salesforce Apex HTTP, HTTPRequest and HTTPResponses classes - Knowledge of Salesforce integration tools and techniques, such as Mulesoft, Dell Boomi, or Informatica Cloud. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. - Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal Preferred Qualifications - Current VA Public Trust Clearance. - Platform Developer II, Advanced Administrator, or Salesforce App Builder. - Experience supporting federal government agencies or working in a consulting environment. - Experience supporting Salesforce deployments using structured DevOps and CI/CD practices (e.g., Copado, Gearset, Git-based workflows). - Familiarity with Salesforce security, compliance, and FedRAMP requirements. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
