• Subject-matter and didactic review of geography content: You review exercises and learning texts for factual accuracy and didactic quality and provide targeted corrections and improvement suggestions. • Quality assurance of content: You review prepared materials directly in the authoring document or via the live preview and propose adjustments. • Subject-matter support for the editorial team: As a subject-matter expert you advise our editorial team on content-related questions and help to represent topics accurately and in line with curricula.

Role Description You’ll lead the engineering team at the heart of sofatutor’s core product – a learning platform used by over a million students, parents, and teachers across the German-speaking market. This is a hands-on leadership role inside a cross-functional unit: - Work directly with a Senior Product Lead, Content Leads, and a Staff Engineer, owning both the people and the delivery. - Your team: 10 full-stack engineers (frontend, backend, one mobile). - Your context: a product that matters, a strong and experienced leadership group, and real room to shape how engineering works here. - Own the structure, leadership, and further development of the Engineers in the team, with a clear focus on outcomes, quality, and sustainable delivery. - Coach Engineers (technically & personally), set up growth plans, and establish effective feedback and performance routines. - Strengthen a collaborative, motivating team culture with ownership, psychological safety, and a high-quality orientation. - Work closely with Product, Design, Content, and Technical Leaders on roadmap, prioritization, and implementation—and translate goals into realistic plans. - Continuously refine workflows, agile rituals, and quality standards (e.g., DoR/DoD, release processes, incident learnings). - Ensure that technical decisions, dependencies, and risks are transparent—and actively steer towards solutions. - Have experience in hiring, designing onboarding processes, and the professional development of Software Engineers. - Build structures that enable scaling (e.g., role/leveling clarity, clear responsibilities, knowledge management). - Help your team adopt AI responsibly: the right tools, at the right stage of the development cycle, with clear ownership of what gets shipped. • Areas of financial accounting, with a focus on accounts payable and accounts receivable management • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code) • Preparation of financial statements for foreign subsidiaries and execution of consolidations • Execution of payment runs and account reconciliations • Development and optimization of accounting processes and support for automating recurring tasks • Close collaboration with internal departments and external partners (e.g., tax advisors, auditors)

• Networking: Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, ministries and school authorities — especially at the federal state level. • Representation: Represent sofatutor at conferences, trade fairs, public events and in committees. • Monitoring and strategy development: Monitor regulatory and policy developments and prepare strategic recommendations for our team and the organisation. • Sales & negotiation: Direct sales of our school products to federal states, school authorities and municipal education providers, including successful negotiation of product options and contract terms. • Political communication: Draft position papers, briefings and political communication materials.
