• Networking: Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, ministries and school authorities — especially at the federal state level. • Representation: Represent sofatutor at conferences, trade fairs, public events and in committees. • Monitoring and strategy development: Monitor regulatory and policy developments and prepare strategic recommendations for our team and the organisation. • Sales & negotiation: Direct sales of our school products to federal states, school authorities and municipal education providers, including successful negotiation of product options and contract terms. • Political communication: Draft position papers, briefings and political communication materials.
Job Requirements
- Solid experience in Public Affairs, Government Relations, political communication or a comparable field — ideally with exposure to the (digital) education sector.
- Confident presence in interactions with political decision-makers and public institutions, and an understanding of their decision-making processes.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex issues clearly and concisely to different target groups.
- Enjoy networking and willingness to give sofatutor a voice through presentations or participation in panel discussions.
- Willingness to travel within Germany to represent sofatutor regularly at trade fairs or other networking events (approx. 1–2 times per month).
- Native-level German and good English skills for internal communication.
- Knowledge of relevant education-policy institutions and processes (KMK, federal government, ministries of education, state school laws) is an advantage.
