Role Description Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking an Executive Assistant to support our Defense Services Division. This position is 100% remote; however, occasional travel may be required. The Executive Assistant will primarily support the DSD business unit senior directors, as well as other Division executive leaders across dispersed geographic locations, and be responsible for assisting on a diverse set of matters and projects. The Test Engineer will serve as a trusted source of technical advice on the development, deployment, integration, and test of the PWSA’s Space Systems. You will provide project control for several of Defense Services Division (DSD’s) largest prime contracts by acting as a liaison between the program manager (PM) and the corporate functional staff. You will assist the Project Manager in maintaining solid financial execution of assigned projects while enabling the PM to remain highly engaged with customer product and service delivery. This position supports remote work environment and can be located anywhere in the USA. The Senior Program Control Specialist provides Program life-cycle activities such as project setup/maintenance, financial management/tracking, invoicing support, and accruals. Responsibilities - Assist the Program lead Project Control Specialist and the Program Manager fulfill the financial, administrative, and reporting requirements for the Government customer. - Track Government funding: manage man-hours and material/travel expenses to ensure that funding is managed accurately and appropriately. - Process and record travel requests for employees on various contracts. - Ensure that all travel is planned, coordinated, approved, and executed within the guidance and regulations set forth by contract and the FAR. - Coordinate, prepare, and submit contract deliverables in a timely manner. - Run management/financial reports for Project Managers using Deltek/Cost Point. - Assist with monthly Excel billing reports for GSA. - Interface with the Finance, Accounting, and Contracts team for related project/program issues. - Support the tracking and processing of subcontractor and vendor invoices. - Maintain various project budgets, such as travel/ODCs, and support associated workflows. Qualifications - Ability to work remote 100% of the time in any location. - Must be analytical with a demonstrated ability to meet goals and deadlines accurately in a fast-paced environment. - Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel. - 7 – 10+ years of experience in project control or financial accounting preferred. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. - Ability to perform simple accounting procedures. - Government Contracting Experience. - Strong analytical skills and ability to multi-task a must. - Familiarity with Financial Management toolkits such as Deltek CostPoint, Workday Adaptive Planning, Power BI or other similar ERP/BI systems. Education - Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or related field. Desired Skills - SMARTSHEETS experience a plus. Clearance Requirements - Ability to obtain a minimum Secret Clearance.
