UX/UI Designer

Cro Metrics

We help companies grow through strategic, data-driven experimentation.

ContractRemoteMid LevelTeam 51-200H1B No Sponsor

Role Description As Cro Metrics continues to scale its integrated growth marketing services, the Design team is expanding to meet rising demand across CRO experimentation, website design and development, lifecycle marketing, and paid media. This is part of a strategic hiring plan to bring on reliable, high-quality design talent that can operate with consistency and speed across our full service offering and strengthen our creative, strategic, and technical design capabilities. We're hiring designers at two levels: - Production & Execution — an execution-focused role for designers who translate hypotheses and creative direction into polished, pixel-perfect deliverables, on time and on budget. - Senior, Strategic & Client-Facing — a strategic and technical role for designers who own both the thinking and the execution: shaping UX strategy and design systems, presenting to clients, and producing high-fidelity work across our service lines. You don't need to choose which one to apply for. Apply once, and we'll calibrate the right level and fit together throughout the interview process based on your experience, portfolio, and how you work. Both are long-term fractional contractor roles. Most contractors stay on contract. The relationship is designed to be sustainable at part-time hours. Conversion to full-time employment happens selectively when there's a clear business need and mutual interest. Either way, we're looking for someone we can build with long-term. Qualifications - Experience in UI/UX design, digital production design, or a similar role (2–4 years for the Production level; see below for Senior). - Strong Figma proficiency — fast, organized, clean, well-structured files with proper components, auto-layout, and naming conventions. - A portfolio demonstrating production-quality work across web, email, and paid media — craft, consistency, and range. - Comfort working within existing brand systems and constraints rather than always designing from scratch. - Experience with conversion-focused design — landing pages, user flows, experiment variations, or similar. - Comfort letting data guide design choices — you understand that at an experiment-led agency, results and evidence inform the work. - Ability to manage volume across multiple concurrent deliverables, clients, and channels without quality dipping. - Strong attention to detail — pixel-perfect output, consistent spacing, correct typography, adherence to specs and design systems. - Clear communication — you ask thoughtful questions, flag issues early, and keep stakeholders informed. - Receptive to feedback — you take critique well, and actively seek it out to sharpen your work and close the loop with strategists, clients, and peers. - Self-directed and reliable — you manage your time well, meet deadlines, and don't need to be micromanaged. Requirements - At the senior level, 5–8+ years in UX/UI design, product design, or a senior role blending strategic thinking with hands-on craft. - A portfolio that shows how you think, not just what you make — research insights, strategic framing, multiple explorations, rationale, and outcomes. - Proven experience leading design on complex, multi-stakeholder projects (website redesigns, product strategy, or multi-channel experience design). - Design systems expertise — you've built, maintained, or significantly contributed to scalable design systems. - Strong technical design fluency — front-end constraints, responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), and productive working conversations with engineers. - Client-facing confidence — present concepts, explain reasoning, handle feedback gracefully, and build trust with senior stakeholders. - Experience with data-informed design — comfortable using analytics, experiment results, and user research to guide decisions. - Advanced Figma — components, variables, auto-layout, prototyping, and design tokens. - A clear point of view on where AI-powered design is headed, backed by integration into your own practice. Benefits - Paid evaluation period during the first 5–10 business days. - Flexible work hours designed to be sustainable at part-time hours. - Opportunity for long-term collaboration and potential conversion to full-time employment based on mutual interest. Company Description At Cro Metrics, we're on a mission to redefine growth for organizations and brands through unparalleled digital experiences that inspire action and deliver results. We are an experiment-led growth marketing agency that partners with mission-driven and high-growth companies to scale through data-driven experimentation. - Expertise spans A/B testing, personalization, paid media, lifecycle marketing, and full-funnel digital strategy. - Fully remote team of strategists, analysts, engineers, and designers works across industries including eCommerce, fintech, nonprofit, and hospitality. - Belief in autonomy, collaboration, and innovation to help clients grow smarter and faster. - Proprietary platform, Iris, unifies analytics, testing, creative, and roadmaps in one system.

Senior Experiment Engineer

Cro Metrics

We help companies grow through strategic, data-driven experimentation.

Full TimeRemoteSeniorTeam 51-200H1B No Sponsor

Role Description Experimentation engineering is where good ideas stop being opinions and start being answers. As a Senior Experiment Engineer, you're the person who makes that happen, shipping the tests that decide how some of the most recognizable brands on the internet grow, convert, and keep their customers coming back. - Build experiments across the full complexity spectrum, including on frameworks and platforms you've never touched before. - Help clients turn fuzzy business questions into sharp, testable hypotheses. - Raise the bar for the engineers around you through code review, mentorship, and strong opinions. - Enjoy the translation between "messy business problem" and "clean technical solution." Qualifications - Senior-level proficiency with HTML, SCSS, and JavaScript, including hands-on experience building experiments inside Single Page Applications (React, Vue, Angular, or similar). - Production experience shipping experiments on one or more leading web experimentation platforms (e.g., Optimizely, VWO, Convert, AB Tasty, LaunchDarkly, Kameleoon, or equivalent). - Fluent command of the command line, Git, and version control workflows in a collaborative team environment. - A proven ability to accurately estimate complexity, assess feasibility, and communicate trade-offs. - A track record of reviewing other engineers’ work and raising quality without slowing teams down. - Comfort working directly with clients or external stakeholders. - Experience mentoring engineers more junior than you, formally or informally. - A learning-agile mindset: you can pick up a new framework, platform, or codebase and be productive on it quickly. - Interest in progressing your career into role leadership, people management, and/or deeper service specialization. - Background at a consultancy, agency, or in-house CRO / experimentation program at an enterprise brand. Requirements - Experience running pre-sales / feasibility work and producing client-facing technical deliverables. - Familiarity with analytics and data layer tooling (e.g., Segment, GTM, GA4) as it intersects with experiment instrumentation. - A portfolio of reusable patterns, libraries, or internal docs you’ve authored and driven adoption of. Benefits - Remote-first: Fully remote for employees based in eligible U.S. states. - Generous time off: 4 weeks of PTO to start, increasing to 5 weeks after 3 years, plus 9 paid holidays and up to 5 days of paid bereavement. - Health & wellness: Group healthcare coverage, disability and basic life insurance, pre-tax savings accounts, and wellness programs. - 401(k): Automatic enrollment after 3 months with 100% match up to 4% of salary. - Leave: Parental and medical leave plans tailored to your situation. - Connection: Annual company-funded All Hands Trip, active Slack culture (#appreciations, #cro-pet-trics, and more), and a real commitment to feedback and transparency. - Growth: Individualized Career Plan so your path here is explicit—not implied—plus access to our education reimbursement program after one year of employment. - Compensation: $80,000 - $110,000.00

This description is a summary of our understanding of the job description. Click on 'Apply' button to find out more. Role Description As a Web Quality Assurance Analyst for Cro Metrics, you will serve as a partner to a team of engineers, program managers, and growth strategists. You’ll be the last line of defense before an A/B test is launched on the client’s website for the world to experience. This is not a “check‑the‑box” QA tester role — you’ll need to be comfortable analyzing many different websites across a wide range of complexities, navigating the technical ins and outs of various web experimentation tools, and ensuring all issues are addressed before your final stamp of approval. This Web QA position is also a launchpad into other paths at Cro Metrics, including Program Management and Growth Strategy. We invest heavily in teammates who show a strong desire to learn, stretch, and grow—pairing you with mentors and dedicating regular professional‑development time so you can chart your next step inside the organization. Key Responsibilities - Partnering closely with the Engineering and Account teams to interpret needs, implement A/B tests, and deliver timely results to clients. - Manually performing cross browser, functional, visual, and smoke testing daily across a wide variety of websites, and diving deep into each A/B test to ensure reliable functionality of the web experimentation tools. - Perform QA execution on all low or medium levels of complexity more independently with little to no guidance. - Perform QA execution on higher levels of complexity, escalations, and troubleshooting with guidance from more senior team members. - Ensuring all A/B test issues are identified, understood, and resolved or addressed with the team through regular written check ins, video chats, and retrospectives. - Documenting learnings and observations regularly to help disseminate information the team needs to succeed. - Continuously expanding your experimentation knowledge through self‑study, mentorship, and cross‑functional collaboration. Qualifications - Growth mindset — You’re motivated by curiosity, eager to acquire new skills, and view this role as the first step toward a longer career here (think Program Management or Growth Strategy). - Empathy — You put yourself in the end user’s shoes, communicate with kindness, and collaborate effectively across disciplines. - 1+ year quality assurance experience in a professional environment focused on websites or web applications or 2+ years customer service experience or other experience in a high communication role. - Technically-minded — Although no prior experience in experimentation is required, the position can get fairly technical when it comes to the web functionality, experimentation, and tools, resembling a Tier 2 IT Support role. - Critical thinking — You can analyze a problem, ask probing questions, and iterate on your own processes. - Attention to detail — You have high attention to visual detail, can communicate clear and specific step by step instructions, and leave no stone unturned. - High communication — You enjoy writing (a lot), collaborative problem solving, providing clear plans of action, and jumping on a video call. Nice to haves - Experience with Jira, Slack, or Zoom. - Experience working fully remotely. - Technical focus in schooling (e.g., Code School, CS Degree). - Knowledge of User Experience concepts. - Knowledge of Agile concepts. Benefits - 401(k) with 100% match up to 4% - Medical, dental, and vision insurance with 90%+ employer contribution - HSA, HRA, FSA, wellness and pet care benefits - 4 weeks PTO (5 weeks after 3 years) + paid bereavement and parental leave - Professional development support with customized career planning - Laptop and gear of your choice - Fully remote work culture with welcome packages, surprises, and an annual retreat - Access to group performance coaching sessions Compensation Range 45-65K + Benefits
