Accountant II

• Daily data entry for client remittances, accounts payable and wire transfers/ACH payments. • Preparation of monthly client remittances, balancing client general ledger accounts. • Preparation of monthly general ledger account analysis. • Preparation and posting of general journal entries into the accounting program. • Reconcile corporate/subservicing bank accounts. • Communicate with other departments to ensure the smooth processing of all transactions. • Assist in preparation of daily wire transfers and ACH transactions. • Assist in preparation and mailing of daily check run. • Assist in preparation of daily bank deposit. • Assist in any special projects assigned to the department. • Assist in document requests from both internal and outside auditors. • Successfully complete annual regulatory compliance training. • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • High School degree.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications (including advanced Excel experience).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle complex, multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to always interact in a positive and professional manner with all levels of both internal and external audiences.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in the mortgage industry preferred.
  • Bookkeeping experience
