• Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. • Record journal entries to close books on a monthly basis. • Reconcile assigned accounts on a monthly basis. • Record invoices, obtain approval, and generate payments. • Manage supplier tax documentation, including VAT IDs (USt-IdNr.) and other required tax information, support contractor income tracking, and ensure VAT compliance where applicable. • Organize and maintain vendor records. • Coordinate with auditors for interim and annual audits. • Provide necessary documentation and support during audits. • Ensure compliance with internal controls and applicable accounting standards (HGB/German GAAP). • Ad hoc projects. • Crosstrain and back up other team members when necessary.

• Analyze and record financial transactions on the general ledger, exercising independent judgment to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with nonprofit accounting standards • Code transactions accurately within our multi-dimensional chart of accounts • Support close processes and assist with internal and external audits, applying professional judgment to identify areas of improvement needed in internal controls • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts using discretion to identify and resolve discrepancies • Inventory recordkeeping, offering recommendations for improvement • Manage the accounts payable (AP) cycle from receipt of invoices to payment and corporate credit card expense management • Monitor bank account for gifts received and handle a low volume of invoicing • Administrative duties for the 403(b) plan • Maintain 1099 vendors/contractors - including writing and fulfilling contracts in collaboration with our legal team • Support use of AI-assisted and automated finance workflows (e.g., expense processing tools, dashboard and reporting automations) as part of day-to-day accounting operations • Handle confidential information with honesty and integrity, ensuring adherence to internal controls and financial policies • Assist with special projects and other tasks as assigned

• Manage end-to-end month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring accuracy, quality and timely delivery. • Prepare and review financial reports through NetSuite. • Perform intercompany balance reconciliations and monthly reconciliation exercises. • Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns in compliance with German regulations. • Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB). • Prepare corporate income tax returns. • Review and oversee bookkeeping performed by junior team members, ensuring quality, consistency and compliance. • Lead and coach junior accounting team members in day-to-day accounting matters. • Execute and maintain control processes for monthly, quarterly and annual closing cycles. • Support external audits and tax inspections by preparing documentation and responding to queries. • Serve as the local accounting counterpart to Global Accounting, ensuring that German requirements are understood and properly reflected.

• Learn Clutch’s AP and AR workflows across QuickBooks Online, Sequence, and Salesforce, and become the primary processor for vendor invoices and customer billing. • Own day-to-day AP: code and enter vendor invoices, process payment runs, and reconcile vendor statements. • Own day-to-day AR: create and issue customer invoices from signed contracts, apply cash receipts, and monitor the AR aging report. • Partner with the Senior Accountant and Accounting Manager to understand how AP and AR feed into the monthly close. • Manage a full AP payment cycle and AR collections cadence independently, flagging exceptions before they become problems. • Reconcile the Sequence to QuickBooks billing data flow and resolve unmapped items. • Support month-end AP/AR-related reconciliations and accruals, including accrued expenses and deferred revenue support schedules. • Build stronger working relationships with Sales, Customer Success, and vendors to resolve billing and payment issues proactively. • Take ownership of process documentation for AP and AR workflows, identifying opportunities for automation. • Support ASC 606 documentation for standard revenue contracts under the guidance of the Senior Accountant. • Contribute to audit prep by compiling AP/AR schedules and supporting documentation. • Take on expanded responsibilities as the accounting function scales, a natural growth path toward a Senior Accountant role.
