Role Description As Senior Accountant, you will help lead day-to-day accounting operations while strengthening financial reporting, reconciliations, compliance, and month-end close processes. You will work closely with the Finance Director to improve workflows, maintain dependable financial records, and provide insights that support broader business decisions. This role is ideal for an accountant who understands the pace and complexity of e-commerce and enjoys bringing structure to high-volume financial activity. You will have the autonomy to identify issues, recommend improvements, and contribute to financial projects beyond routine accounting work. Responsibilities - Own accurate financial data entry, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for recurring reporting cycles - Support a timely and well-controlled month-end close process - Maintain complete financial records and documentation that are ready for review or audit - Manage or support accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time - Reconcile financial activity across e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Amazon, payment processors, and accounting systems - Assist with tax filings, regulatory compliance, audits, and requests for supporting documentation - Partner with the Finance Director to streamline accounting processes and strengthen internal controls - Analyze financial data, investigate discrepancies, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders - Support ad-hoc financial analysis, reporting, and strategic initiatives as business needs evolve Qualifications - At least 3 years of experience in financial accounting, reporting, or financial analysis - Hands-on experience supporting e-commerce or retail businesses, including platforms such as Shopify or Amazon - Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or a comparable platform - Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills, including the ability to organize, reconcile, and analyze complex financial data - Strong knowledge of reconciliations, financial documentation, and month-end accounting processes - High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing deadlines accurately - Clear written and verbal English communication skills for effective remote collaboration Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - Experience supporting tax filings, compliance reviews, or external audits - Experience improving accounting workflows or implementing stronger financial controls - Familiarity with e-commerce payment processors, inventory accounting, or multi-channel revenue reconciliation Benefits - Access to a $200K+ perk marketplace with discounts on 150+ global services. - Option to withdraw up to 50% of approved earnings before payday.
