Role Description The AVP of Commercial Sales GTM is responsible for driving growth, market penetration, and client utilization across Safelite’s commercial clients. This role oversees a geographically dispersed field sales organization and the Commercial Support team, ensuring Safelite delivers strong service, operational excellence, and strategic value to our commercial clients. Reporting to the VP of Commercial Sales, the AVP will shape and execute Safelite’s commercial strategy, elevate customer engagement, and strengthen cross‑functional alignment to accelerate growth in a rapidly evolving marketplace. What You Will Do - Commercial Sales Leadership - Lead a national field sales organization with representatives in key geographies, focused on increasing utilization with major clients such as Amazon, CarMax, Enterprise, and other strategic partners. - Drive expansion into local and regional commercial segments through targeted GTM strategies, territory optimization, and disciplined pipeline management. - Directly manage two Commercial Sales Directors, providing coaching, performance management, and leadership development to build a high‑performing, accountable field sales culture. - Establish clear sales targets, forecasting rigor, and performance metrics aligned to Safelite’s commercial growth objectives. - Commercial Support Oversight - Lead the Commercial Support organization responsible for internal coordination and proactive customer engagement. - Ensure seamless communication and issue resolution across Safelite’s operational ecosystem, including shops, Commercial Care, Commercial Billing, and the Contact Center. - Maintain a balanced approach to advocacy—protecting the customer experience while upholding Safelite’s operational and financial standards. - Strengthen processes, tools, and service models to deliver timely, accurate, and customer‑centric solutions. - Strategic Planning & GTM Execution - Develop and evolve Safelite’s long‑term commercial strategy, including segmentation, value propositions, channel strategy, and competitive positioning. - Identify emerging opportunities, market trends, and customer needs to inform strategic investments and innovation. - Partner cross‑functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Technology to ensure alignment and execution of GTM initiatives. - Lead strategic initiatives that enhance customer experience, improve operational efficiency, and drive sustainable revenue growth. - Client Engagement & Relationship Management - Act as a key partner to the Commercial Sales team working to strengthen relationships in market and identifying opportunities for deeper partnership. - Ensure the field organization delivers consistent, high‑quality engagement that reinforces Safelite’s brand, service standards, and value proposition. - Oversee escalation management, ensuring rapid, effective resolution that protects client trust and business continuity. Qualifications - 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in commercial sales, GTM strategy, or enterprise account management; multi‑location or field‑based sales leadership strongly preferred. - Proven success leading large, distributed teams and developing high‑performing sales organizations. - Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate insights into actionable GTM plans. - Demonstrated ability to influence cross‑functional partners and drive alignment in complex, matrixed environments. - Exceptional communication, executive presence, and relationship‑building skills. - Experience in automotive services, logistics, retail operations, or similar industries is a plus. Expected Work Location It is expected that you will primarily perform work remotely. You may be asked to travel, as needed, to the Safelite Home Office (7400 Safelite Way, Columbus, OH 43235), or to other location(s) as designated by the Company. Changes to work location arrangements are subject to managerial approval and business needs.
