Title: Senior Growth Analyst Location: Remote USA And Hybrid San Francisco Job Description: What We Do We’re on a mission to empower animal healthcare professionals with opportunities to earn more and achieve greater flexibility in their careers and personal lives. Powered by groundbreaking technology, Roo has built the industry-leading veterinary staffing platform, connecting Veterinarians, Technicians, and Assistants with animal hospitals for relief work and hiring opportunities. Roo empowers the largest network of over 20,000 veterinary professionals to help more than 9,000 animal hospitals provide quality care to more pets. Together, we’ve provided more than 3 million hours of healthcare, helping Veterinarians earn more than $200 million. About the role At Roo, the Growth team defines the objectives of our company initiatives and ensures we are able to measure their impact. This role is critical in our squad working model, partnering with product, marketing, sales, and finance to surface insights, sharpen execution, and move the metrics that matter. This highly leveraged role is essential for business growth, combining data analysis, growth strategy, and cross-functional partnership to drive company-wide impact. The team has 4 major goals: - Helping teams deeply understand their North Star metric: how it decomposes, what drives it, and what levers are most worth pulling. - Running trusted experiments and quasi-experiments that attempt to improve a Roo Equation metric. - Developing new analytical approaches and frameworks that improve how the team measures, investigates, and communicates growth. - Digging into the data with genuine curiosity: following threads, pressure-testing assumptions, and surfacing the insights that sharpen company priorities. We are obsessed with data and focus on a first principles approach. The team is involved in the full lifecycle of major product, marketing, and sales initiatives: leveraging data to identify opportunities, investigating and sizing them, facilitating measurement of the impact of our efforts and developing/maintaining dashboards to report on our progress. While we operate on a remote basis, you will be required to occasionally be onsite in our San Francisco co-working space for meetings and team events. Your Responsibilities - Partner closely with product, marketing, sales, and finance to identify growth opportunities, size their potential impact, and measure execution against targets on a weekly cadence. - Perform ongoing data analysis and proactive exploration to surface actionable insights that inform current and future priorities for the team. - Design and execute experiments end to end: hypothesis, instrumentation, analysis, and decision. Know when a formal A/B test is the right tool and when it is not. - Build, maintain, and iterate on dashboards that direct, track, and create accountability for cross-functional teams against their OKRs. - Turn complex analytical findings into clear narratives that drive alignment and action. - Operate as a force multiplier on the growth team and the assigned squad, raising the bar on analytical rigor. About You - 5+ years of experience in an analytical or strategy role, with strong preference for experience spanning both product analytics and GTM functions at a marketplace or high-growth startup. - You think in multiplicative levers and funnel decomposition. You are energized by problems where the answer requires breaking a metric into its components and understanding what actually moves the needle. - You are fluent in SQL. You independently author complex, production-quality queries and have opinions about how data should be modeled. - You have experience designing and interpreting experiments, with a clear-eyed understanding of statistical power, when not to run an A/B test, and how to make defensible decisions with imperfect data. - You are comfortable collaborating with sales, product, marketing, and finance stakeholders. You communicate clearly, set expectations proactively, and know how to prioritize the most impactful work first when multiple teams are pulling in different directions. - You are genuinely curious about the intersection of data and AI. You are energized by the question of what becomes possible when you combine rigorous analytics with AI capabilities, and you are excited to help shape how we approach AI-driven analytics at Roo. While we are a remote first company, if you are based in San Francisco this will be a hybrid role.
