Product Designer
Dayforce
Role Description Dayforce is looking for a self-starting, highly motivated Product Designer to create useful, usable, and engaging experiences for the millions of workers who rely on Dayforce every day. We believe HR and workforce management software should deliver the same level of care, craft, and usability as the best consumer products, built using modern user-centered and human-centered design practices. - Contribute across the entire design lifecycle—from research and discovery through ideation, prototyping, validation, and final design delivery. - Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, UX Researchers, and fellow Designers to solve complex customer problems while creating intuitive, accessible, and scalable product experiences. - Design and enhance product experiences within one of Dayforce's product pillars, including Attract to Hire, Doing the Work, Compensation, Talent Development, or Platform. - Conduct user research and usability testing, in partnership with UX Researchers, to better understand user needs and validate design solutions. - Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to solve product and user experience challenges. - Work closely with Lead Product Designers and Design Managers to ensure design solutions align with broader product and design strategies. - Present design concepts and clearly communicate the rationale behind design decisions to cross-functional stakeholders. - Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to explore and validate multiple solution approaches. - Deliver detailed product designs built using the Dayforce Design System. - Contribute enhancements and improvements to the Dayforce Design System as needed. - Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design throughout the product development process. - Participate throughout the full product design lifecycle, from discovery through implementation. Qualifications - Experience designing and delivering successful web and mobile products. - Ability to work with guidance from senior designers while continuing to develop independence and ownership. - Familiarity with user-centered and human-centered design methodologies. - Advanced proficiency in at least two of the following areas, with proficiency in at least two additional areas: - Interaction Design. - Visual Design. - Information Architecture. - UX Writing. - User Research. - Research Analysis and Insights. - Front-end Development. - Experience designing for complex systems, multiple user types, and sophisticated workflows; enterprise SaaS experience is an asset. - Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices. - Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills. Requirements - Experience designing enterprise SaaS products. - Experience contributing to or evolving a design system. - Experience collaborating closely with cross-functional product development teams. - Passion for creating accessible, intuitive, and user-centered product experiences. - Curiosity and a commitment to continuously improving your design craft.
