What You Will Do - Assist in the day-to-day processing of U.S Payroll Operations for a large organization including 129 paygroups supporting multiple frequencies (weekly, bi-weekly and semi-monthly pay cycles). - Review and ensure payroll activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations. - Work closely with payroll vendors in ensuring all desktop procedures are updated and approved. - Coordinate test payrolls with ADP, participate in testing, reviewing the outcome and troubleshooting issues. - Review, audit and analyze data inputs including salary adjustments, bonuses, special calcs, deductions to minimize data errors, identify anomalies and ensure root-cause resolution for processing issues. - Support various payroll initiatives including mergers and acquisitions, process improvements, key projects, and audits. - Partner with RTX departments to research and resolve complex pay issues, proactively recommend and implement mitigation efforts to prevent recurrence. - Generate reports to provide weekly payroll counts. - Support the ongoing alignment of RTX payroll practices and governance standards. - Assist in tracking annual payroll calendars and payroll schedules to guarantee we comply with deadlines. Qualifications You Must Have - A Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience. - Payroll experience preferably gained in a large corporation or outsourced/BPO environment. - Direct exposure with ADP Enterprise, Workday, Globalview or other enterprise payroll systems. Qualifications We Prefer - Strong analytical skills/systems analysis capabilities with knowledge of high tech pay modeling tools and databases. - Must be able to demonstrate expertise in problem solving, analysis, and issue resolution. - Strong professional and interpersonal skills including tact, patience, and courtesy. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills using Microsoft Office suite of applications and proficient in MS Excel and data management systems to handle high volume employee data. - Self-starter able to work effectively in a fast-paced highly collaborative cross functional team environment. - Strong organization skills with high attention to detail. - Knowledge of tax withholding, voluntary deductions and payroll processing. - Strong experience in an active, advanced customer service environment; preferably in payroll, customer care, and/or benefits related industry. - Prior experience with or knowledge of process improvement methodologies.
