Role Description Dayforce is currently seeking a Full-Time Salaried Payroll Delivery Manager I to join our Dayforce Managed team. This role focuses on the collaborative leadership of Payroll Specialists supporting an assigned portfolio of clients. We help our clients manage the complete employee lifecycle—including payroll, workforce management, benefits, and contact center services—allowing them to focus on their core business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing client relationships, supporting process sustainability, providing guidance to Payroll Specialists, and serving as a trusted consultative partner. They will also possess in-depth knowledge of U.S. and Canadian payroll, year-end processing, project management, and day-to-day operational delivery, along with an "I own it" mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional results. What You’ll Get to Do - Manage a broad scope of day-to-day operations with agility in a continuously evolving environment. - Maintain oversight across multiple internal departmental activities and resolve issues within tight timelines. - Ensure overall quality control and auditing to maintain accuracy and continuously improve operational performance. - Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements (SLAs). - Proactively identify opportunities and contribute to process improvements that increase value. - Serve as a subject matter expert on Dayforce solutions and client information, providing recommendations to internal and external stakeholders. - Track workflow processes, manage priorities, and remove operational bottlenecks. - Recommend resource utilization improvements to maximize efficiency. - Support clients and internal teams throughout various stages of the client lifecycle. - Assist with project planning, implementation activities, and project rollouts. - Coordinate operational readiness for Parallel and Dry Run testing. - Coach and guide Payroll Specialists while supporting ongoing development and training. - Assist in developing standards, best practices, and standard operating procedures. - Prepare and present operational metrics, business reviews, process updates, and executive presentations. - Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and external partners. - Deliver exceptional customer service across all interactions. - Promote cross-functional knowledge sharing and collaboration. - Apply detailed payroll and product expertise to accomplish complex operational responsibilities. - Communicate effectively with clients, leaders, and team members. - Demonstrate ownership and accountability for deliverables from initiation through completion. - Approve payrolls while ensuring compliance with established guidelines. - Support year-round compliance and internal control activities. - Perform payroll and tax audits or partner with internal teams to ensure legislative compliance. - Manage or support quarter-end and year-end payroll processing activities to ensure timely and accurate delivery. Qualifications - 2–4 years of payroll experience in high-volume payroll operations with end-to-end Canadian and/or U.S. payroll processing, including balancing, quarter-end (U.S.), ROEs (Canada), taxation, garnishments, legislation, and year-end activities. - End-to-end payroll experience supported by strong analytical and technical expertise. - Strong planning, organizational, and problem-resolution skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, internal partners, and leadership. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred. - Strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and positive attitude. - Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure, fast-changing environments. - Ability to travel occasionally. - Flexibility to support business needs, including operational hours between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Weekend and holiday work may occasionally be required.
