(Senior) QA Engineer - Web
RoamlessRoamless is a mobile connectivity service that is up to 90% cheaper than traditional roaming. With one eSIM, users get instant, reliable data anywhere in the world. The company has grown 4-5x Year on Year and has been trusted by over 1M users who rate it 4.6 on Trustpilot. We recently closed a $12M Series A led by Rasmal Ventures, with participation from Shorooq, Revo Capital, Finberg, and JIMCO. We are hiring globally and fully remote, planning to grow from 60 to 100+ in the next ~12 months.
Role Description At Roamless, we ship fast across iOS, Android, web, and backend. Until now, the web (our website, web checkout, B2B product) has had no dedicated QA. We're hiring a Senior QA Engineer for our web products to own quality assurance across our web properties. You'll build the test infrastructure, design the coverage strategy, and make sure that everything works flawlessly for every user, every time. This is a greenfield role. You won't inherit someone else's framework; you'll design and build it. What you will do - Take full ownership of web QA across the website, web checkout, and upcoming B2B/Enterprise product, ensuring releases are thoroughly validated and production-ready. - Work closely with product, developers, and design to understand requirements, clarify expected behavior, and identify what needs to be tested before issues reach users. - Design and execute regression, smoke, end-to-end, and integration tests ahead of every release. - Help establish and improve test automation for web flows, bringing practical ideas on tools, structure, and best practices as Roamless continues building its QA capabilities. - Investigate issues beyond surface-level bug reporting by analyzing behavior, isolating likely causes, and providing clear, actionable insights to support faster resolution. - Integrate AI tooling into your QA workflow, automating Jira ticket creation, building testing agents, exploring MCPs. - Perform manual testing where automation is not possible. Qualifications - Solid experience testing web products and customer-facing flows, ideally including checkout or other conversion-critical journeys. - Strong understanding of QA fundamentals, including regression testing, smoke testing, integration testing, and bug tracking. - Hands-on experience with web test automation, with familiarity in tools such as Playwright or Selenium (or similar). - A highly analytical mindset with a focus on understanding why something is broken, not just identifying that it is broken. - Strong autonomy: you plan your own testing cycles, identify coverage gaps, and self-organise without a checklist. - Curiosity about using AI to improve workflows, efficiency, or QA processes in practical ways. - Experience with Postman for API testing. - Familiarity with Jira and X-ray (or equivalent bug-tracking). - Comfortable with a fast-moving startup that ships weekly. - Strong English communication skills. Requirements - SQL or basic querying skills. - Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines. - Exposure to accessibility or web performance testing. - Experience setting up QA processes from scratch. Benefits - Hardware you need to be most productive. - Fully remote. The trust and flexibility that come with a fully-remote setup. We're looking for someone based in Europe, or working in a Europe-friendly time zone (CET ±2 hours). - Home office budget: $500 on equipment for home office setup (e.g., a keyboard, a screen, etc.). This is a one-off budget that doesn’t renew every year, but doesn’t expire. - Learning and development budget: Up to $1000 annually to be spent on books, online courses, conferences, etc. - $200 non-expiry yearly Flex credit for data, hotspot, and calls. - Annual phone number subscription for $1/year. A real phone number (UK, Canada, or Australia) inside the Roamless app. - Full-time local contract via EOR. - Supportive, diverse, inclusive team.
