Service Operations and Solutions Architect

Role Description Architect, design, and govern service operations and solutions across the full lifecycle: - Design, transition, operations, and continuous improvement. - Write and review high-quality, efficient, and scalable code to support service automation, tooling, integrations, and operational improvements. - Drive governance frameworks ensuring compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, security standards, and industry best practices. - Manage and optimize service and product portfolios, ensuring services are scalable, supportable, cost-effective, and business-aligned. - Engage directly with customers, including senior leadership, to gather business requirements, provide technical consultation, and design tailored solutions. - Lead the delivery and governance of multiple Statements of Work (SOWs) across large enterprise environments. - Handle multiple applications and projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality delivery, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. - Define operational requirements (SLAs, OLAs, KPIs) and enforce standards across services. - Represent service operations and solution architecture in governance boards, customer steering committees, and architecture review boards (ARBs). - Lead operational readiness, service transition, capacity planning, and continual service improvement initiatives. - Mentor technical teams on operational excellence, coding standards, service governance, and architectural best practices. 100% Telecommuting allowed from a home office anywhere in the U.S. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field. - Seven (7) years of experience in IT service operations, service management, solution architecture or a related occupation. Requirements - Experience must include five (5) years in the following skills: - Managing multiple applications and services concurrently in complex enterprise environments. - ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL v4), governance models (e.g., COBIT, ISO 27001), and operational compliance standards. - Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), hybrid environments, and service management tools (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management). - Platform engineering, DevOps/SRE practices, and automation. - Financial management for service portfolios and contract governance.
