Role Description The Associate Network Automation Engineer is responsible for supporting the automation, integration, and ongoing optimization of network infrastructure by leveraging scripting and APIs, while ensuring systems are well-documented and continuously improved. It also collaborates across a global team and helps maintain operational reliability, including participating in on-call support. This position reports to the Director of Network Engineering and is part of the Infrastructure Operations organization and will be fully remote. Role Description The overall objective of this consultancy is to support the implementation and successful completion of the RCC-Network demonstration phase in the South-West Indian Ocean region and facilitate the preparation of the RCC-Network for formal WMO designation. Duties and Responsibilities - Under the overall supervision of the Project Manager of the Technical Assistance Project, the Chief of the Climate Prediction Section, the consultant shall provide support in accordance with the expressed needs of the NMHSs on one hand and the objectives of the project on the other hand. - In this context, the consultant shall undertake the following tasks: - Technical support for RCC demonstration activities - Provide technical guidance to participating NMHSs and RCC-Network institutions in implementing their assigned RCC functions.
