Role Description We’re looking for a Field Application Engineer who’s wired for AI/ML, fluent in real-world problem-solving, and excited to build with the people actually using what we make. You will collaborate closely with the sales team and enterprise customers, leveraging your deep technical knowledge in AI to drive the adoption of our products and solutions. This is a customer-facing role that requires both technical expertise and excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. This role is remote based out of Munich, Germany. We welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role. Qualifications - You’ve lived in the AI/ML trenches, whether as a field engineer, a solutions architect, or the one tapped in when things needed to “just work.” - You speak both machine and human. Whether it’s a researcher or a skeptical executive, you know how to break things down and bring them to life. - You’re fired up about generative models, LLMs, and the edge of what’s possible when software meets purpose-built silicon. Requirements - Strong customer-facing skills with 5+ years of relevant technical, enterprise experience (such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Technical Account Manager). - Your field insight will help shape our roadmap, our features, and the way we show up for developers. - Proven expertise in AI technologies and frameworks, including machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, PyTorch or TensorFlow. - Experience with embedded systems, FPGA Architecture or AI accelerators. - Good understanding of data center, server architecture and deployment, thermal/power, and infrastructure management. • Manage all AGFA imaging equipment in assigned territory • To include timely troubleshooting and repair, preventative maintenance and execution of field service bulletins • Assist peer Field Service Engineers (FSE) out of territory when needed and work load permits • Provide timely and detailed feedback on technology performance, reliability, serviceability, service quality and design issues back to US DR product team • Work directly with Project Management and Installation Team to plan, execute and validate installations within assigned territory • Work with sales in identifying DR prospects and provide technical support during pre and post sales activity • Develop a close working relationship with the customer to provide assistance and guidance towards developing an action plan for additional AGFA sales (Service Maintenance Agreements, Upgrades, Professional Services, or new equipment) • Installation, remedial and preventive maintenance of Agfa DR support and x-ray room experiences and other OEM products trained on • Review of DR / IMAGING equipment operational function with the customer to meet training obligations during installations • Perform DR / IMAGING and x-ray room experience is required • Provides immediate response and prompt resolution to hardware and software problems to ensure customer uptime and satisfaction • Develops DR / x-ray room solutions for technical problems by interfacing with hospital systems IT systems administrators, end user personnel and outside vendors and support teams • Insures maximum DR / IMAGING uptime, performance and efficiency of all Agfa systems • Installs software, hardware and executes performance analysis as needed for DR and imaging • Defines DR / IMAGING problems, verifies defects in system, then applies fix, circumvention, or other probable reconciliatory techniques • Escalations: Initiate and follow all issues DR / IMAGING escalation processes and to keep the customer and management informed as to the status of the escalation

Qualifications - Hands-on experience in the Industrial Vertical such as Oil & Gas, Manufacturing or Pharmaceuticals is required. - 3+ years in forward deployed engineering/pre-sales engineering, or technical software development, ideally in enterprise SaaS, cloud platforms, or industrial software companies. - Hands-on keyboard problem solving. - Strong engineering background. Preferred fields include but are not limited to Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, and Machine Learning. - A strong foundation in Python and a deep understanding of the GenAI landscape (embeddings, RAG, and prompt chaining). - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. - Ability and interest to travel up to 50% as needed to be "on the ground" where the impact happens. Requirements - Education or experience in the industrial space (e.g., Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, or Control System Engineering). - Previous customer facing or sales experience. - You’ve worked with "messy" real-world variables from the Industries we work in (Energy, Oil and Gas, Chemicals, Life Sciences, Discrete) and understand, for example, why data quality in a refinery is harder than data quality in a web app. - You are excited to bridge the gap between traditional heavy industry and the future of Autonomous Operations via Cognite Data Fusion® and Agentic AI.
