Job Description

Digital Architect Consultant

Guidewire Software

Role Description As a Digital Architect Consultant, you will shape the end-to-end digital architecture for complex Guidewire implementations, with a strong emphasis on frontend architecture, Jutro, and modern web technologies. You will combine hands-on engineering with architectural leadership across frontend, middleware, integration, and cloud-native solution design to define scalable patterns, frameworks, and implementation approaches that can be leveraged across customers and regions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, mentoring engineers, and translating Guidewire’s mission—transforming how the world’s P&C insurers do business—into high-quality, intuitive, and scalable digital experiences for customers and end users. What you’ll do - Lead the definition and documentation of scalable front-end and digital solution architectures for Guidewire implementations in LATAM, leveraging Jutro, microfrontends, and modern web technologies. - Serve as a hands-on technical lead for digital workstreams: contribute code, establish coding standards, and ensure robust UX, performance, accessibility, and security in production solutions. - Design and guide complex integrations between digital applications and Guidewire InsuranceSuite using REST APIs and established patterns, ensuring reliability, observability, and maintainability. - Provide architectural guidance and technical mentoring to front-end and full-stack developers, building capability and consistency across customer and partner teams. - Oversee solution design by reviewing and approving technical designs, reusable components, and integration approaches to enable repeatable, high-quality delivery across projects. - Define and champion frontend architecture patterns (e.g., component strategies, state management, microfrontend approaches) that align with Professional Services’ priorities to reduce implementation effort and time while improving quality and value realization. - Lead the adoption of reusable frameworks, accelerators, and implementation best practices for digital applications built with Jutro and other Guidewire technologies, contributing to Professional Services’ goals of scalable, AI-enabled, repeatable offerings. - Partner closely with Product and R&D to surface platform limitations, co-design enhancements, and provide field feedback that improves Jutro and our digital products for all customers. Qualifications - Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement. - 5+ years of software development experience building modern web applications using contemporary frontend technologies. - 3+ years of hands-on experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks. - Experience architecting and delivering enterprise-scale single-page applications (SPAs). - Experience with, or strong willingness and ability to learn, Guidewire Jutro and Guidewire Digital architecture. - Strong understanding of frontend architecture patterns, component-based design, and state management approaches. - Experience integrating with RESTful APIs, JSON-based services, and enterprise backend systems. - Strong understanding of authentication and authorization concepts, including OAuth, SSO, and identity federation. - Experience with CSS, SASS, responsive design, accessibility standards, and frontend performance optimization. - Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools such as Jest, Cypress, Playwright, or similar technologies. - Working knowledge of backend technologies, integration patterns, APIs, and cloud-native application architectures. - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, container technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and modern deployment strategies. - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues across frontend, middleware, and backend layers. - Strong communication, consulting, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions with customer teams. - Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery methodologies. - Highly motivated, innovative, and proactive problem solver with strong analytical skills. - Strong interest in emerging AI-assisted and agentic software development technologies and practices. - Portuguese, Spanish, and English oral and written communication skills are considered an asset. Preferred - Guidewire InsuranceSuite implementation experience. - Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform, Integration Gateway, and Digital APIs. - Experience migrating AngularJS or legacy frontend applications to React-based architectures. - Knowledge of microfrontend architectures and frontend platform strategies. - Familiarity with UX collaboration tools such as Figma or similar platforms. - Insurance industry experience, particularly within Property & Casualty. - Experience contributing reusable frameworks, accelerators, or implementation best practices. - Exposure to AI-assisted coding platforms, developer copilots, MCP tooling, or agentic development workflows. - Experience mentoring developers and serving as a technical escalation point. - Guidewire certifications or cloud certifications are a plus. Your Impact We believe in clarity and setting you up for success. In your first months, you will get hands-on with Guidewire’s digital and core products, learn our Professional Services methods, and take ownership of front-end architecture for one or more strategic LATAM implementations. You will define patterns, reusable components, and integration approaches that reduce implementation effort and time, support AI-enabled services, and drive measurable value for our customers—directly contributing to Professional Services’ priorities of revolutionizing services execution and scaling revenue. Over time, your work will influence how partners implement our platform, how Product and R&D evolve Jutro, and how insurers across the region deliver modern, reliable experiences to their policyholders in line with Guidewire’s global mission to transform P&C insurance. Benefits - Flexible work environment - Health and Wellness benefits - Paid time off programs including volunteer time off - Market-competitive pay and incentive programs - Continual development and internal career growth opportunities
