Sales Representative, Point of Care Testing

Role Description The Sales Representative, Point of Care Testing (POCT) is part of Abbott Rapid Diagnostics – Toxicology US products team and will work remotely. They will be responsible for managing growth of new and existing Toxicology POCT customer accounts with the goal of driving new incremental growth. - Responsible for securing sales to achieve a sales quota for overall territory. - Handle outbound and inbound customer correspondence for prospects and existing customers via video, telephone, direct meetings, and email, while maintaining relationships, providing superior service, and supplying continuing information and support regarding Toxicology POCT products. - Focus on outbound cold calling and targeted marketing campaigns to gain new customer business. - Prepare and send quotes and product information. - Coordinate new account sales activities with account managers and customer services teams while developing key contact relationships in targeted accounts. - Lead current account product expansion purchasing, product substitutions as needed, value-based pricing for customer base. - Stay current with trends and competitors to identify improvements, identify new products and defend competitive threats. - Attend trade shows and customer meetings as needed. - Support resellers through product expertise, marketing materials, and engaging their management and sales teams to drive growth. - Engage in entering, reporting, and reviewing relevant information in Salesforce.com and PowerBI for ongoing customer retention and growth. - Field-based remote role with approximately 20–30% travel within the United States. - Candidates must reside in a major metropolitan area with access to a nearby airport. - Preferred locations include (but are not limited to): Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston, Phoenix, and Denver. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Business or Scientific field) or equivalent combination of education and experience. - 4+ years sales experience (B2B, Inside Sales, Account Management, etc.). - Experience growing new business through existing accounts and acquiring new accounts. - Self-starter able to grasp knowledge through mentorship and shadowing. - Must be able to work independently, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and handle difficult situations in a professional manner. - Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills, computer skills with MS Office applications, including PowerPoint and Excel. - Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software. Requirements - Diagnostics testing/Toxicology/Occupational Health/Medical Device Sales experience. - Experience in lab screen and confirmation sales. - Proven track record in Sales.
