Role Description The Telecom Designer will be a part of our national IES Design Branch. The Telecom Designer will be highly skilled in the design of low voltage telecommunications infrastructure systems. The Telecom Designer’s role is to provide consulting and design services to our clients for technology enhanced spaces. The position will require that the designer actively participate in the design process for several projects at the same time while ensuring efficiency, accuracy and top-quality work is being delivered to our clients. - Contribute as a key member of the project design team, bringing a significant level of expertise in telecommunications systems and related design elements, with a forward-thinking perspective. - Take responsibility for leading projects, executing design work, and delegating production tasks. Role Description The project coordinator will work hand in hand with the Project Manager to offer support and organization to ongoing projects. Role Description This is a BIM/VDC Lead position, you must have experience in BIM and in Structured cable. Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Document test cases, execute them and report any identified issues. - Verify fixes and maintain test documentation. - Work with the development team to identify defects. - Participate in the software development life cycle. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development process. - Identify departmental needs and report to management as appropriate. - Identify problems, research alternatives, prepare presentations, drive solutions, test to confirm, gain consensus, and implement solutions for multiple applications within multiple functions. - Troubleshoot and guide others on a wide variety of complex problems and identify solutions within broad application and functional expertise. - Coordinate new development activities and assess that they are consistent and well-integrated with the established document metadata model and solutions. - Manage routine & special projects which may require oversight of other departments' work and coordination of a wide variety of functions. - Oversee and provide guidance to peers and serve as reference point for questions on a day-to-day basis. - Report staff productivity on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. - Review test plans and participate in system testing activities as per QA processes. - Perform user acceptance testing (UAT), conduct training for stakeholders and report to the developers if any error occurs. - Other responsibilities as assigned. Role Description The Data Center Designer is the person who supports the sales and projects staff in developing design and engineering solutions for sales opportunities. The Engineer/Estimator keeps the estimates accurate and information up to date. The Engineer/Estimator will also assist in the day-to-day sales and projects activities of the Company. - Provide complete project engineering, selection of applicable materials, and define basis for assigning and estimating labor. - Write scope of work and develop cost estimate in response to bid specifications. - Assist the sales organization by attending site-walk and pre-bid meetings on project activity. - Track all site visits and keep detailed information of site conditions for use in the design of the engineering solutions. - Act as liaison between and meet with sales, project management, and operations when project is turned over for installation. - Monitor that the sales price and actual installation costs coincide. - Follow Company guidelines on preferred selection of vendors and products. - Work with vendors to obtain best solution, most competitive price, and proper lead-time on materials. - Provide floor plan takeoffs and project application per Company’s recommended solutions book and technical support personnel. - Ensure that all engineering work meets the customer and Company quality and safety level at all times. - Attend training and review sessions on technical requirements according to the Company’s training guidelines. - Meet bid schedules and deadlines, working within and have the ability to meet a very strict timeframe. - Attend and complete job turnover meetings as required to cover all details and expectations of project as they were designed. - Complete other responsibilities as assigned. Requirements - High School Diploma or GED required. - Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. - Minimum of one (1) year of experience in customer interface, such as liaison between the customer and the company. - RCDD preferred. - Structured Cabling industry experience required, previous data center engineering/estimating preferred. - Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project). - Must meet company minimum driving standards. - Must have the proven ability to design, engineer, estimate and develop a written and graphic representation of the company’s proposed solutions utilizing the software resources provided by the company. - Must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s).
