UX/UI Designer
Agility Robotics
Role Description We are seeking a UX/UI Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating intuitive, visually compelling, and user-friendly digital experiences that support the operation, monitoring, and management of our robotic systems. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and researchers to translate complex technical workflows into elegant, efficient interfaces. Robotics experience is helpful but not required—what matters most is your ability to simplify complexity, advocate for the user, and bring a strong design perspective to multidisciplinary collaboration. This is a remote-friendly role with a preference for candidates located near one of our offices for in-person collaboration, meetings, and events. About The Work - Lead the end-to-end design process for robot and web based UI: e.g. create wireframes, prototypes, and final UI assets ready for implementation by our development team. - Improve the UX/UI of features implemented by our development teams. - Design industry leading user interfaces and experiences for robot operator tools, dashboards, and mobile/web/VR applications. - Develop and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across platforms. - Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align design solutions with technical feasibility and business needs. - Assist our HRI/UX Researcher in conducting user research and usability testing, and then iterate based on feedback. - Create intuitive visualizations for real-time data, robot status, and system controls. - Stay current with UX/UI best practices and emerging design trends. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or related field—or equivalent practical experience. - 3+ years of professional UX/UI design experience. - Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design across web or software applications. - Experience designing complex systems, dashboards, or technical tools for enterprise software. - Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD). - Experience with prototyping and usability testing. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Authorization to work in the USA. Bonus Points - Familiarity with robotics, IoT, or industrial automation interfaces. - Knowledge of front-end development basics (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) for better design-engineering collaboration. Salary and Benefits The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This range may change based on geographical location and may be modified in the future. Anticipated Base Salary Range: $128,000 — $200,000 USD - 401(k) Plan: Includes a 6% company match. - Equity: Company stock options. - Insurance Coverage: 100% company-paid medical, dental, vision, and short/long-term disability insurance for employees. - Benefit Start Date: Eligible for benefits on your first day of employment. - Well-Being Support: Employee Assistance Program (EAP). - Time Off: - Exempt Employees: Flexible, unlimited PTO and 12 company holidays, including a winter shutdown. - Non-Exempt Employees: 10 vacation days, paid sick leave, and 12 company holidays, including a winter shutdown, annually. - On-Site Perks: Catered lunches four times a week and a variety of healthy snacks and refreshments at our Salem and Pittsburgh locations. - Parental Leave: Generous paid parental leave programs. - Work Environment: A culture that supports flexible work arrangements. - Growth Opportunities: Professional development and tuition reimbursement programs. - Relocation Assistance: Provided for eligible roles. - Annual Discretionary Bonus: Provided for eligible roles.
