• As a Software Developer on Borrowell’s Engineering team, you will design, develop, optimize, test, and maintain application code for our in-house web and mobile products. • You will ensure that software meets both the technical and business requirements that guided its design. • Depending on your background, interests, and performance during our coding challenge, we will tailor your interview path toward one of the following teams: - Frontend Platform: Focused on architecting our universal codebase and acting as a technical force multiplier for the engineering organization. You’ll work with React, React Native, and our monorepo infrastructure to build foundational core libraries that empower product teams to ship cross-platform features. - Backend Platform: Focused on our core business systems, security, and scalability. You will work on microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and critical infrastructure projects like identity management (Auth0). - Product Development Pods: Embedded within cross-functional teams (Product, Design, QA), you’ll work on building and maintaining products from the ground up, directly impacting the lives of over 4 million Borrowell members.

About the Role: This role is within Borrowell's Frontend Platform team, focused on building the foundational components to support product teams. Unlike a typical product role, you won’t just be building features; you will be a force multiplier for the entire engineering organization. You will own the architecture of our universal codebase (Web + Mobile), maintain our Expo & Monorepo infrastructure, and design the tools that allow our product teams to iterate quickly and safely. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, Engineering, Data and QA teams across the company. With an increasing percentage of our members preferring mobile to web, you will see how your efforts make an immediate, lasting impact on helping our members achieve financial stability. In the first year, you can expect to: - Optimize our Monorepo setup to ensure seamless code sharing between React (Web) and React Native (Mobile), reducing duplication and friction. - Serve as a technical consultant to product teams, defining the "Golden Path" for new features and raising the bar on code quality. - Maintain and enhance the mobile application using React Native, ensuring reliability and release health
Marketing Specialist (Partnerships/Affiliates)

Role Description Borrowell is looking for a Marketing Specialist (Partnerships/Affiliates) to help fulfill Borrowell’s mission to make financial prosperity possible for everyone. You’ll manage and scale our partnership/affiliate/referral channels to grow user acquisitions and help more Canadians on their financial journey. In this role, you’ll own partner acquisitions and relationships on mobile app (e.g., AppsFlyer) and web affiliate platforms (e.g., Impact Radius). The ideal candidate will also scale our Refer-a-Friend program for existing Borrowell members (individuals and influencers) to drive growth from word-of-mouth. If you’re someone who can manage relationships, understand how to manage ROI/CPA, and feel comfortable with the technical/operational aspects of these channels, this is the position for you! Key Responsibilities - Partner Channels: Scale programmatic mobile app partners, leveraging AppsFlyer (or similar) to track performance and combat ad fraud; scale affiliate web partners using platforms like Impact Radius. - Technical Proficiency: Ensure tracking and attribution are accurate by working with internal Engineering and Data teams and with partners, as applicable. - Creative: Develop, deliver and test creative assets such as graphics, videos/animations, and landing pages based on the audience segments. - Analysis and Reporting: Maintain performance dashboards to identify opportunities to grow volume, improve ROI and empower partners to optimize their campaigns. - Experimentation: Design and execute tests on messaging, landing pages, and creative formats to improve conversions through the user journey. Qualifications - 2+ years in scaling partnerships, referrals or affiliate (B2C or B2B). - Hands-on experience with AppsFlyer (or equivalent) and affiliate platforms (e.g. Impact Radius or equivalent). - Deep understanding of attribution for web and mobile app (we use AppsFlyer), event/pixel setup, tracking links, and UTMs. - Experience analyzing and making recommendations using data (we use Looker), while applying intuition as appropriate. Nice to haves - Experience working in fintech, e-commerce or an online marketplace. - Experience working with influencers and UGC (user-generated content). Salary The budgeted annual salary range for this role is $65,000 – $95,000 CAD. Starting pay is determined by the candidate's relevant experience and skills. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for Borrowell’s full benefits package.
• Develop end-to-end ELT pipelines that integrate data from multiple sources to power a reliable and scalable data platform • Design and build high-performance, reusable data models that efficiently handle large datasets and support analytics, marketing, and machine learning use cases • Create and maintain APIs that enable seamless data sharing across systems, including APIs for deploying and serving machine learning models in production • Partner with engineering, data, and business teams to drive and deliver impactful data engineering initiatives • Contribute meaningfully to the design and implementation of core data infrastructure decisions
