What you'll do - Installs and supports prototype equipment and may develop procedures and documentation as needed in support of design - Liaison with Project teams to mature Projects through engineering or test plan, testing and test report preparation per guidance - Engage with stakeholders to establish failure analysis approach, use all FA tools to establish root-cause and work to establish solutions per guidance - Responsible for performing research & support design, development, modification, and evaluation in support of the company's semiconductor capital equipment and systems. - Designs and analyze mechanical systems, sub-systems, equipment and packaging. - Conducts feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs. - Provides design information to drafting support for packaging design and documentation. - Responsible for performing mechanical engineering design and calculations. - Create and release engineering drawings & bill of materials using Engineering Change Management process - Coordinate with group of engineers located remotely to effectively launch projects with clearly defined scope, requirements, deliverables per timeline. Who we're looking for - Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience. - Hands on experience to take Low complex design from concepts thru details engineering/calculations including drawing package release and working to close issues from suppliers &build per guidance - Design Maturity and Optimization per design requirements, and ability to address Reliability, Cost, Manufacturing related issues through analytical approach - Ability to write or execute test plan, write test reports per guidance and also exposure in conducting failure analysis by following all tools (8D, Why-Why, Fishbone, DOE's, etc.) to establish root-cause, FA report and solution development. - Ability to work well in a team, in a fast-paced environment with aggressive deadlines by appropriately aligning on priorities Preferred qualifications - Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present design concepts to peers and management in a professional and effective way - Exposure to NX will be a plus or any CAD, drawing, GD&T, Tolerance Stack up analysis - Product lifecycle knowledge from concept to volume production - Engineering Change Management process by working with hardware engineering (electrical & mechanical), software engineering, program/product mgmt. team, suppliers and engineering leadership. - Critical thinker with proven ability in creating solutions for complex engineering problems & experienced problem-solving skills - Knowledge and exposure to ANSI, ASME, SAE, ISO, SEMI standards applicable to semiconductor industry.
