Group Accountant – 6 Month Contract

• **Month End Close: **Own and manage the month end close process across all Group companies, delivering accurate P&L, Balance Sheet and reconciliations to an audit-ready standard within agreed deadlines.**** • **Financial Reporting: **Prepare consolidated management accounts and ensure all intercompany balances are reconciled and eliminated appropriately.**** • **Payroll & Tax Coordination: **Liaise with payroll providers and external tax advisors across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accurate processing, timely reconciliations and submissions in line with local requirements.**** • **Multi-Currency Accounting: **Manage foreign currency transactions and revaluations, ensuring correct treatment in line with accounting standards.**** • **Reconciliations: **Maintain balance sheet reconciliations to a high standard, ensuring all items are clearly evidenced and audit-ready at all times.**** • **Ad-hoc Finance Support: **Take on ad-hoc finance tasks and project work as directed by the Financial Controller, contributing flexibly to the needs of the wider finance team throughout the contract period.****

Job Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant: **ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional accounting qualification is required.****
  • Technical Accounting: **Solid technical accounting knowledge with experience applying relevant standards across a group entity structure.****
  • Multi-Entity & Multi-Currency: **Demonstrable experience working in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment, including intercompany accounting and consolidation.****
  • Month End Ownership: **Proven ability to own and deliver month end close independently, producing P&L, balance sheet and reconciliations to audit-ready standard.****
  • Payroll & Tax Liaison: **Experience coordinating with payroll and tax advisors across multiple jurisdictions, with a sound understanding of compliance requirements.****
  • Systems Adaptability: **Ability to quickly adapt to new financial systems and processes, with strong Excel skills as a minimum.****
  • Attention to Detail: **High level of accuracy and rigour in all aspects of financial reporting and reconciliation work.****
  • Communication: **Clear and professional communicator, able to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external advisors.****
