Role Description We're looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of a fast-moving fintech company. You'll work closely with the Controller and broader Finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain the integrity of the general ledger, and support month-end close in a high-growth, fully remote environment. Responsibilities - Execute month-end and quarter-end close processes with the accuracy and timeliness required for financing reporting. - Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules in compliance with US GAAP. - Assist in documenting, testing, and maintaining internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) in support of SOX 302 and 404 compliance. - Support external audits and tax preparation by providing documentation and schedules. - Maintain the general ledger across multiple regulated entities. - Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, FP&A, and Operations to ensure financial data integrity across the organization. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred. - 3–5 years of accounting experience (public accounting experience preferred). - Hands-on experience ICFR documentation, and PCAOB audit support. - Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements. - Experience with multi-entity accounting; financial services or broker-dealer experience a strong plus. - Experience with Digital Asset / Crypto accounting; financial services or broker-dealer experience a strong plus. - Proficiency in NetSuite or similar ERP; comfort with Excel and financial reporting tools. - Ability to manage competing priorities under hard deadlines with a high degree of accuracy. - Interest in or familiarity with digital assets, tokenization, or fintech is a plus.
