• Support month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries related to but not limited to compensation, vendor accruals, prepaid accounts, fixed assets, expense allocations, and intangibles. • Prepare P&L and balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances for assigned accounts. • Support intercompany reconciliations and assist with elimination entries. • Perform bank reconciliations and own cash management activities. • Support audit and management reporting requirements with accurate and timely deliverables. • Support tax filing requests, business registrations, and other compliance-related activities as needed. • Handle ad hoc requests related to financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, BI, and other cross-functional teams to resolve accounting-related issues. • Participate in cross-team training and coverage planning, ensuring adequate backup and knowledge sharing within the accounting team. • Assist and support other non-month-end ad hoc projects or requests. • Support other functions such as Billing, Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable or other unassigned areas when business needs arise. • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced month-end close environment. • Adopt an AI and automation mindset by proactively identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, automate recurring tasks, and improve accounting process efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 3 years in public company accounting, 1+ years in audit preferred.
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and full-cycle accounting close.
- Proven ability to connect the dots across processes and systems, identify issues, and implement solutions independently.
- High sense of ownership and accountability for assigned tasks, ad hoc requests, and urgent deliverables.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and proactively drive tasks forward.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate variances and clearly explain financial movements.
- Ability to work independently with strong initiative while managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong experience with large data sets.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion preferred.
