Job Description

Accountant

SEO Sherpa

• We are seeking the detail-obsessed, numbers-crunching Accountant of our dreams to join our growing business. • Your mission is simple but crucial: improve financial accuracy, drive down days to pay, and increase overall cash collected across the group. • Reporting directly to our Chief of Staff with monthly oversight from our fractional CFO, you will own the day-to-day accounts support. • From multi-currency bank reconciliations and month-end manual journals to chasing up accounts receivable, you’ll be the gatekeeper of our general bookkeeping. • Our finance function is currently in transition, so you should be highly comfortable with ambiguity and eager to help the role evolve over your first 12 months. • You are comfortable jumping onto email, WhatsApp, or the phone to have direct, professional collections conversations that keep cash flowing without ever damaging client relationships.

Job Requirements

  • You have 3–5 years of bookkeeping or accounts administration experience under your belt, ideally within a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
  • You have serious Xero chops. You know your way around bank reconciliations, invoicing, manual journals, reporting, and multi-org management like the back of your hand.
  • You are a tenacious and professionally persistent collections champion. You have a demonstrated track record in AR and feel completely comfortable chasing payments across email, WhatsApp, and phone.
  • Your month-end close experience is rock-solid. Accruals, prepayments, and manual journals don't sweat you.
  • Your A+ organizational skills allow you to hit recurring deadlines without supervisor micromanagement. You are completely self-managing.
  • You have excellent written and spoken English, representing the business brilliantly to clients, suppliers, and internal staff.
  • You are discreet, trustworthy, and take pride in maintaining ultimate hygiene with sensitive financial data (including TRN, licenses, addresses, and supporting UAE e-invoicing readiness).
  • Experience in a digital, marketing, or professional services agency is a major "nice to have," as is multi-currency accounting experience.

Benefits

  • The opportunity to work with a talented team on an important mission.
  • Above-market salary + incentives.
  • Unlimited (paid) personal time off for vacation, sick, and wellness days.
  • Full-time, flexible hours, and the freedom to work from home (or anywhere else) within timezones of 4 hours +/- of Dubai.
  • Radical transparency across business metrics and information (we call this "open for business").
  • 100% company-paid health insurance.
  • When the company does well, so will you. 8-15% of the net profit gets shared amongst the team members—you included.
  • Regular training, professional workshops, and book purchases are covered by us.
  • Team retreats and meet-ups that bring together our remote-first workforce.
  • A fun work culture where we value your work and our business.
