Sales Engineer – Public Sector
Rubrik, Inc.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to customers and internal staff in the development of fully integrated technology solutions in support of pre-sales activities in the assigned market. • Assist in the analysis, design and development of fully integrated technology solutions. • Demonstrate technical leadership and subject matter expertise on Rubrik’s products, distributed architectures, file systems, and competitive storage offerings. • Act as technical expert and consultant to develop and propose solutions that meet the technology and business requirements of assigned customers. • Make technical and sales presentations to customer's technical staff and senior management. • Serve as a trusted technology advisor to customers and serve as an internal resource on technical issues or specific business applications within an assigned market segment. • Successfully build relationships with the account team, partners and customers in support of sales team objectives and engage and leverage corporate resources, abilities, budgets and personnel as appropriate. • Lead technical sales calls and whiteboarding/discovery sessions. • Qualify sales opportunities in terms of customer technical requirements, competition, decision-making process and funding. • Partner with AEs on pipeline generation from both existing accounts (white space/expansion) and new prospects (supporting discovery).
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of sales engineering experience preferably in cloud infrastructure, SaaS security or data centre.
- Strong expertise in Azure (priority) and/or AWS; familiarity with cloud data management, and ideally in backup, disaster recovery, and cyber resiliency.
- Driven – need for success, highly energetic with a strong hands-on, “can do” approach.
- Entrepreneurial - willing to go the extra mile, strong work ethic, resourceful, “get it done” attitude.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment; able to handle multiple calls/demos per day with immediate follow up.
- A high level of business acumen and experience working with CxO-level personnel, bringing technology solutions to solve business challenges.
- Personable, and confident communicator — able to engage both technical staff and senior executives.
- Smart, adaptable and open-minded.
- Ideally Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Public Sector background is a plus, but not required.

Role Description The Regional Sales Representative is responsible for managing and expanding customer relationships across commercial and industrial markets. Key Responsibilities (Including but not limited to) - Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer accounts, engineering firms, contractors, distributors, and end users. - Identify, pursue, and prospect new business opportunities across existing and new accounts. - Conduct in-person and virtual customer meetings, including strategic planning, technical discussions, and follow-up activities. - Utilize Salesforce CRM to manage customer interactions, opportunities, pipelines, and forecasting. - Prepare and maintain accurate regional sales forecasts, call plans, and territory strategies. - Represent Trillium Valves USA at trade shows, industry conferences, supplier events, and customer meetings. - Collaborate with internal teams (inside sales, service, repair, and spare parts) to support customer requirements, lead times, and profitability. - Support pricing strategy, quotations, and contract negotiations to maximize margin and long-term value. - Develop a working knowledge of commercial valve applications, specifications, and applicable industry standards. - Build brand awareness through professional networking, social media engagement, and customer-facing activities.
