Director, Hardware Product Operations
Samsara
• Lead the team with responsibility for successful hardware launches within the Ops organization. • Partner with Hardware & Operations team members including Program Managers, Engineering, Product Design, and Ops Engineering to maintain schedule and ensure successful ramp to mass production. • Be the key relationship owner with external JDMs cutting across executive engagement and a recurring business management system (e.g., QBRs). • Embody Samsara’s operating principle Have Discipline. Build and maintain a system that continues to build rigor in our cost, resilience, and sustainability goals. • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles as we scale globally and across new offices. • Hire, develop and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high performing team.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in hardware sourcing, procurement, supply chain or a related field.
- Proven experience managing new product launches within an operations organization.
- Established people/team management skills with emerging organizational leadership skills.
- Experience building long-term relationships with key customers (internal and external) and guiding others to design and deliver solutions.
- Ability to plan strategy and roadmap for the next 1-2 years with relevant input and think outside of one's own team to influence, create, and drive strategies.

Role Description Resilience is seeking a Product Operations Manager to scale how our product development organization operates as we grow. In this role, you'll design and maintain product operations, documentation, and knowledge infrastructure that enable Engineering, Product, and Design to work effectively together, ensuring teams can find information quickly, coordinate cross-functionally effectively, and deliver products without unnecessary friction. The ideal candidate brings strong program management experience, systems thinking, and the ability to influence without authority. They are comfortable operating in ambiguity and taking ownership of cross-functional problems that do not have predefined solutions. • Help shape and evolve how product work happens at SoSafe, from strategy and discovery through delivery and learning • Enable Product Managers to make high-quality decisions at pace, supporting clear prioritisation, sensible trade-offs, and calculated risk taking • Partner closely with Design to improve how discovery, design intent, and delivery connect as the organisation scales • Reduce friction and break down silos between Product, Design, and Engineering by improving shared context and ways of working • Strengthen how customer, business, and delivery signals inform product direction and roadmap decisions • Design and facilitate planning, review, and retrospective sessions on outcomes, learning, and continuous improvement • Introduce systems, standards, and tools that improve focus, clarity and execution without slowing teams down • Improve visibility into progress, risks, and decisions for teams and leadership without turning ProdOps into a reporting function • Spot patterns where the system isn’t working well and help teams course-correct early
