• Build out brand assets and systems following concepts and creative direction from senior designers • Apply existing brand guidelines to create compelling visual assets • Support the reimagining of existing NPR editorial property brands • Create marketing campaigns that follow existing brand guidelines • Help develop the overall campaign approach, contributing to art direction and creative concepts • Build campaign assets required for each campaign • Actively contribute ideas to team brainstorms • Partner with copywriters and senior designers to support brand directions • Ensure final graphics and layouts are high-quality, align with brand standards
Job Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in graphic design and digital advertising (or equivalent portfolio demonstrating strong design skills)
- Experience with branding, typography, key art, digital design, and social media design
- Interest in motion graphics and animation, with a willingness to learn and develop these skills
- Passionate about brands, marketing, and creative campaigns, with a growing understanding of advertising best practices
- Strong proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
- Basic knowledge of Premiere and/or After Effects is a plus
- Experience working with copywriters is a plus

Role Description The Learning Experience Designer (LXD) creates innovative and engaging online courses by employing current online teaching and learning methodologies. This position works with subject matter experts to design and develop courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and professional development levels. The LXD provides guidance on aligning competencies, assessments, and learning objects to optimize the learning experience. - Conduct needs assessment and initial analysis as part of collaboration with NU Faculty and Course Authors (CA). - Ensure alignment of curriculum to assessment and online content. - Employ teaching and learning best practices into the development of online content. - Author original content and modify existing materials in coordination with CAs. - Incorporate digital media into the Learning Management System (LMS). - Maintain and update course-related content. - Consult in designing effective assessments and evaluation methods. - Integrate credential and badging opportunities associated with national trends and workforce standards. The Learning Experience Designer consults with lead faculty and Curriculum Directors (CD) on online course curriculum development by: - Designing and providing recommendations for custom multimedia activities and other engaging course elements. - Developing and consulting on appropriate assessment strategies. - Conducting training and coaching on best practices for online course design.
