Title: Specialized Software Developer Employee Type: Contract Remote: Yes Location: Louisville, KY, US Pay Range: $65 - $65 per hour Job Description: Job#: 3029475 Senior Software Developer The Senior Software Developer is a hands‑on contributor responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable middle‑tier and backend software solutions that enable automation and enterprise digital capabilities. This role partners closely with product owners and development teams to build secure, reliable services and APIs that improve efficiency, reduce cost, and increase quality while contributing to a culture of technical excellence. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain backend and middle‑tier components using C# and SQL with a focus on performance and scalability. - Build and support APIs, services, and data access layers that integrate with internal and third‑party systems. - Participate across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and design through deployment and production support. - Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews to uphold development standards. - Support releases, troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long‑term solutions. - Contribute to DevOps and CI/CD practices within an Azure DevOps environment. - Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and data privacy requirements, including healthcare regulations. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. - 5-8 years of backend or middle‑tier development experience using C#/.NET. - Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning. - Experience with RESTful APIs, service‑oriented architecture, and cloud platforms (preferably Azure). - Experience with Agile/Scrum teams and supporting production applications. - Healthcare industry experience preferred but not required. Skills - Proficient in C#, .NET, SQL, and backend service development. - Experience with SSIS or similar data integration tools. - Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and secure coding practices. - Strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
