Role Description We’re seeking a senior, hands-on Salesforce & Data Lead to take ownership of Salesforce development, data quality, and overall CRM performance within a growing, high-performance agency. This role sits at the intersection of development and data, with Salesforce at the core of the business’s operations. You will step into an existing live environment and take full ownership of improving data integrity, system architecture, and development standards. You’ll work closely with a Salesforce Administrator and data specialists to ensure that the CRM is clean, scalable, and capable of supporting campaign delivery and business growth. This includes managing data workflows, optimising enrichment pipelines, and ensuring the availability of high-quality data across all campaigns. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who can both build and guide - owning technical execution while also setting standards, improving systems, and driving long-term scalability. You will operate in a fast-paced environment where ownership, accountability, and proactive problem-solving are critical. Key Responsibilities - Own and manage Salesforce data quality, hygiene, and overall system integrity - Design and maintain scalable CRM architecture aligned with business needs - Develop and maintain custom Salesforce solutions using Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC) - Lead development standards, best practices, and technical direction across the platform - Identify and resolve data gaps, duplication risks, and inefficiencies - Work closely with Salesforce Administrator and data specialists on data workflows and enrichment - Ensure data is accurate, up-to-date, and ready to support campaign execution - Oversee and optimise data ingestion, enrichment, and automation processes - Manage and improve integrations between Salesforce and external tools - Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a live production environment - Reduce technical debt and continuously improve system performance - Provide guidance and oversight to junior or support resources - Document processes, workflows, and system architecture - Continuously identify opportunities to improve scalability, automation, and efficiency Qualifications - Excellent spoken and written English - 4+ years of experience as a Salesforce Developer - Strong experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, and integrations - Strong understanding of Salesforce data architecture, governance, and best practices - Experience working in live production environments with existing systems - Proven ability to take ownership of CRM systems and data quality - Experience collaborating closely with Salesforce Administrators and cross-functional teams - Experience leading or mentoring technical or data-focused team members - Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities - Familiarity with data extraction or scraping tools (e.g. Apify or similar) is a strong advantage - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment - High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy - Must be able to work in alignment with Sydney, Australia business hours Requirements - Fast and reliable internet connection; your own laptop or desktop suitable for the role; a quiet working environment Benefits - Competitive salary based on experience - Performance-based bonus tied to outcomes - Opportunity to own and shape CRM and data systems end-to-end - Work with global, high-quality clients - Clear progression opportunities as the business scales - Influence architecture and best practices - Collaborative and driven team culture - Strong long-term growth opportunity
