The Impact of a Sr Developer- Zuora at Coupa: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Zuora Developer to serve as the technical architect and administrator for our Zuora Billing and Revenue ecosystem. This role is essential for driving the technical evolution, automation, and stability of our subscription management platform. This resource will bridge the gap between functional requirements and technical execution, leading the development of custom logic, managing API integrations, and ensuring the platform is optimized for scale. You will be a key player in our Quote-to-Cash transformation, working to build a robust, automated bridge between Salesforce and NetSuite What You’ll Do: - Technical Development and Automation - Design, develop, and maintain custom solutions within the Zuora platform, utilizing Zuora Workflow, Custom Objects, and Custom Fields to automate complex billing scenarios. - Develop and manage scripts or external applications that interact with the Zuora REST/SOAP APIs to extend platform functionality beyond out-of-the-box features. - Build and optimize sophisticated SQL queries (Data Query) and reports to provide deep visibility into billing health and revenue metrics. - Lead the technical side of "New Product Introduction" (NPI), ensuring the product catalog is architected for both billing flexibility and downstream reporting accuracy. - System Administration and Architecture - Serve as the primary technical administrator for Zuora Billing and Zuora Revenue, managing environment refreshes, tenant settings, and security configurations. - Design the technical architecture for complex subscription models, including usage-based pricing, ramp deals, and multi-entity global deployments. - Monitor system performance and API limits, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks or potential points of failure. - Manage the deployment lifecycle for Zuora configurations, ensuring rigorous testing in Sandbox environments before production releases. - Integration Engineering (Salesforce & NetSuite) - Own the Technical Integration: Maintain and enhance the data flow between Salesforce (CPQ) and Zuora, ensuring high-fidelity synchronization of quotes, subscriptions, and amendments. - Optimize Downstream Sync: Partner with the NetSuite team to manage the technical mapping of invoices, payments, and revenue schedules into the ERP via the Zuora NetSuite Connector or middleware. - Troubleshoot complex integration errors (e.g., sync failures, callout timeouts) by analyzing logs and performing root-cause analysis across the tech stack. - Strategic Partnership and Support - Translate business requirements from Finance and Sales Ops into technical design documents and scalable code. - Provide technical support for billing discrepancies and system bugs - Collaborate with the broader IT and Engineering teams to ensure Zuora aligns with Coupa’s enterprise data architecture and security standards What you will bring to Coupa: - 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Zuora Administrator or Developer, with deep expertise in Zuora Billing. - 2+ years of technical experience with Zuora Revenue (RevPro), including configuration of revenue rules and templates. - Proficiency in Zuora APIs: Demonstrated experience building integrations or automations using REST/SOAP APIs and Zuora Object Query Language (ZOQL). - Proficiency with Zuora Connectors to Salesforce , Netsuite . - Development Skills: Strong SQL skills and experience with at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or Java) for automation. - Advanced Configuration Knowledge: Expert-level understanding of Zuora Workflow, Data Query, and the Zuora-Salesforce 360 sync. - Q2C Experience: Deep technical understanding of the Quote-to-Cash lifecycle, specifically how data moves from Salesforce CPQ into Zuora and NetSuite. - Preferred Qualifications - Zuora Certified Administrator or Zuora Certified Developer. - Experience with Workato for orchestration. - Familiarity with Apex (Salesforce) or SuiteScript (NetSuite) to better manage cross-platform logic. - Experience with Tesorio as a Collections platform is a plus. - Understanding of ASC 606 compliance from a technical implementation perspective. - Core Competencies - Analytical Rigor: A data-driven approach to troubleshooting and system design. - Technical Communication: The ability to explain API logic or architectural constraints to non-technical stakeholders. - Innovation Mindset: A drive to replace manual workarounds with scalable, automated code and workflows.
