Associated responsibilities include, but will not be limited to: Site Performance Assessment & Optimization - Conducting 2–3 site visits per year for each operating or near-operational WAGABOX® unit. - Assessing landfill gas production, including flow rates, composition, and long-term forecasts using industry-standard tools (e.g., LandGEM). - Evaluating existing gas collection and control systems (GCCS) and identifying opportunities to improve biogas capture efficiency. - Comparing actual collection efficiency against initial pro forma assumptions and performance targets. - Developing actionable improvement plans and following up to ensure implementation and measurable progress. About You - Qualifications & Skills The ideal candidate has proven landfill gas management experience, the ability to build strong partnerships with landfill operators as well as: - A minimum of 10 years of experience in landfill gas management, waste management operations, or engineering roles involving the design, permitting, or optimization of GCCS. - A bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, environmental, or process engineering (or equivalent experience). - Strong understanding of landfill operations, biogas generation, and relevant federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., NSPS, NESHAP, state-specific air rules). - Familiarity with RNG production processes, gas upgrading technologies, and landfill gas system components. - Demonstrated ability to conduct technical assessments, interpret data, and develop actionable recommendations. - Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to build and maintain effective relationships as well as the ability to prepare technical documentation and lead technical discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with landfill owners and internal teams. - An analytical mindset with proficiency in forecasting tools (e.g., LandGEM) and performance evaluation methodologies. - The ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and work independently in a field-based role. - Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time, including occasional international travel.
