Salary: $23/hour Location: Remote or Washington, D.C. Want to break into political design? Get your start with us. Middle Seat is a full-service firm for progressive causes and candidates. We work with campaigns, nonprofits, advocacy organizations, and causes on the front lines of racial justice, climate action, privacy and tech policy, immigration rights, and economic justice.  We’re looking for a creative, driven design intern to join our creative team for SUMMER 2026 (June 1 2026 - August 28 2026). What does the role involve? As a graphic design intern at Middle Seat, you’ll work closely with our design team to support real campaigns and causes with impactful visuals. You’ll create social media graphics, digital ads, print collateral, branding assets, and more. You’ll be encouraged to bring your own creative voice while learning how to collaborate in a fast-paced political design environment. This role is available either in person at our Washington, D.C office or remotely. This role is not part of the bargaining unit. You’ll get experience in: - Designing graphics for email, social media, and digital ads - Applying brand guidelines to new and existing creative - Building simple animations (GIFs, video loops) and editing video clips - Assisting with print materials like flyers, proposals, and direct mail - Supporting the creative team on larger design projects including identity design and web graphics - Receiving and implementing feedback from designers, strategists, and clients - Collaborating with strategists, developers, and other creatives to deliver cross-platform assets

Job Requirements
