• Overseeing and coordinating the various projects and programs within the software engineering department. • Ensure alignment of software projects with the organization's strategic objectives. • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan. • Lead and oversee the execution of the project tasks as defined in the project plan. • Maintain effective communication and working relationships with stakeholders and third parties/vendors. • Provide regular and timely updates to stakeholders about progress, adjustments, and advancements. • Determine and define project scope and objectives. • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources effectively. • Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans. • Ensure that all projects adhere to quality standards and that deliverables meet project requirements. • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement and report on project progress and changes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
- A Master's degree or an MBA would be a plus.
- Certifications like PMP (Project Management Professional) are preferred.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in project management, with a focus on software development projects.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.), project management tools (like JIRA, Trello), and program management principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively, strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
